Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

I'm working on my bingo sheet for Civil War, I did one for The Avengers and Age of Ultron, but it gets harder and harder each time as I get a better understanding of the MCU.
For instance I'm not going to bother including "allusion to Sam talking to birds" or "Clint goes deaf" despite how much I want to.
I'm yet to actually win any of my bingo sheets.

The Smurfette Principle. There was a period where she and Wasp (and then Mantis for a time) were pretty much the only women on the team. And since Wasp had a steady boyfriend and then later husband, that meant pretty much every writer who wanted to do a romance plot within the team had to use Wanda.
Something I don't care about him ruining :'p
I guess maybe the Punisher might be up his alley? I mean he's already at Netflix, but...

....I don't want Zack Snyder to ruin the Punisher, thanks.
We got a really great MCU version of the Punisher in Daredevil season 2, and everything about him, from the writing, to the acting by Jon Bernthal, is perfect IMO, and I would never, not in a million years, want somebody like Snyder to fuck it all up.
Sentry?
I could see Snyder's superman vision and Sentry overlapping on a venn-diagram.

Forever liveblogging the AvengersI'd give him Namor. Given Watchmen and Man of Steel, Snyder is perfect for writing a story about an unlikeable superhuman who lives at the bottom of the sea and shuns the marvel Universe for being to optimistic and happy.
And I think his aesthetic would be a great match too.
@Dating everyone in the Marvel universe REALLY gets around. The medium is too interested in recurring characters, interpersonal relationships, and has been running for so long. It's hard not to find an A-lister without a long list of ex lovers (they'll tell you they're insane)
The funniest thing is when Carol Danvers went on a couple of casual dates with the Vision.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersHawkeye slept with a amnesiac Wanda who had no idea who he was only for her to later be retconned into a Doombot.
Wanda has also been teased with Wonder Man and others on the team.
Janet had a crush on Steve and has also been teased with most of the male Avengers including Hawkeye.
Carol has a few moments with Avengers and X-Men and is the girlfriend of Rhodey now(he's probably dying in the new event). The fan preferred couple is Carol with her best and closest friend Jessica Drew.

Someone once made a full map of who dated who and Wolverine was goddamn everywhere.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Logan has the advantage of being immortal so I guess there's that.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."

Yeah, Hawkeye did have a Thing for her. He once walked in on her making out with Vision and then walked out again.
