Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Seeing how Bv S is getting weak word, I thought I remind you of what Snyder said about Ant-Man:

Batman and Superman are definitely more "iconic" than Ant-Man in the sense that they've had a much longer broad pop culture presence but that doesn't mean anything when it comes to making a decent movie, as Marvel has shown many times before. And all it takes is one movie to make a character iconic, as we've seen with Iron Man.

I mean, I don't think Ant-Man is a super great movie or anything, but it was certainly more enjoyable to watch than Bv S was, as much as I hate saying that.
Ant-man has it's own issues, most of them the result of a director change in he last minute...but if you consider that we had one director who had to take over the work of someone else and then had to make a movie in an incredible short time in order to meet the deadline, and another one who had three years to realize his vision, than it is frankly puzzling that the former movie is so much better overall.

Is that a real TV spot?
