Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

I have to give them this: I mostly rolled my eyes when there were all the discussions about Spider-man's costumes in the last months. I was all: "It's a freaking blue and red spandex suit, there isn't really much they can change about it." Well, apparently they can. Even without the finished CGI I already got used to it. And I can't wait to see it in action.
Even though I will be mostly there for cap. That is something I recently realized. I am mostly watching all those MCU stuff for Cap and co. Steve, Peggy, Black Widow, Falcon, Bucky, those are my favourite characters in it. Well, and Loki. (Honestly, I would love to see a movie in which Loki and Cap are forced to team up).
Doesn't look that way...I think it works more this way:
Studio: "Okay, we are at this point in the story, what is your pitch."
Director: "Well, I would do this and this."
Studio: "Sounds good...go and run, but you also have to add this and this so that we can get to this point. Oh, and this is your budget."
Director: "Okay."
And months later one of two things happen: Either the director turns up with a good movie and everyone is happy, or the director turns up with one the studio doesn't like and it ends in extensive re-shoot and a director complaining that the studio didn't respect his vision.
I'm planning on watching it tonight. I'd do it now, but I promised to watch it with someone else too, and I'm currently binging on The Runaway Guys' playthrough of Sonic Adventure anyway.
"Cynic, n. — A blackguard whose faulty vision sees things as they are, not as they ought to be." - The Devil's DictionaryI just finished watching the first three episodes of season 2. I'm really liking it so far. Bernthal is a great Punisher.
Sing the song of sixpence that goes burn the witch, we know where you liveToo bad that Hyde and Absorbing Man, had finished being examples of Adaptational Heroism, I would have loved to see them in a team up with Loki or Zemo, in future movies .
At least we still have Blizzard, Graviton and Lorelei.
And that just shows that the series are "The vertigo" of the movies.
I would not be surprised if they had quotes that contradict the series.
- Spiderman: I am the only vigilante of New York.
- Hammerhead or Tombstone: I have been the main mob boss of New York, for more than a decade.
- Doctor Strange: You can not revive people, no matter how strong is the magic.
- Sif : Thor is the only man I ever loved.
- Zemo: I am the only leader of Hydra, and this organization only existed since the Second World War, not before.
- Enchantress: I Don't have sisters and I am the only woman with this kind of mind control powers.
