Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

How about this then:
2015-2016: Season 3 (big event: Civil War) - Fitz and Simmons get together, but then Simmons gets amnesia
2016-2017: Season 4 (big event: none) - Simmons finally remembers her life, but then Fitz is sucked into a wormhole
2017-2018: Season 5 (big event: Infinity War Part 1) Fitz is returned from the wormhole from 1945 (because it was a time machine), but then Simmons dies and is resurrected as a primordial god-king
2018-2019: Season 6 (big event: Infinity War Part 2) Simmons' soul is finally restored and both of they say "Fuck it" and finally get together, prompting the world to end (because, uh, Thanos).

Yeah, honestly the only way I can see Hydra surviving past the current story arc is if Baron Zemo rebuilds the organization in Civil War. If he has other plans, then Hydra (or at least any meaningful continuation of the current organization) will die with Hive and Malick.

"I love all my heads equally. Strucker, Pierce, and—" *looks at smudged writing on hand* "—Garak."

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies. It would actually make sense, too. Malick's speech in AOS about HYDRA's origins has... holes. From his own explanation, there's no reason anyone associated with HYDRA past Schmidt (including and especially Zola) should even know about his organization in the first place.

As big bad of fourth season, Samuel Sterns (With Ian Quinn as The Dragon)

Another possibility is that Lorelei, Absorbing Man, Blizzard and Graviton form their own version of the Masters of Evil.
- Big Bad: Lorelei
- The Dragon: Graviton
- The Brute: Absorbing Man
- Evil Genius: Blizzard
- The Man Behind the Man / Bigger Bad: Loki
or alternately
- Big Bad: Samuel Sterns
- The Dragon : Graviton and Ian Quinn
- The Brute: Absorbing Man
- Evil Genius: Blizzard
- Dark Chick: Lorelei
