Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

That's not exactly what I meant...
Still, I suppose his bit about performance issues might be taken from experience...
Oh God! Natural light! He may want a slightly more steady life with someone he loves, not necessarily children. Maybe I should I see Ao U again just to be sure. I only saw it the once and I might have missed some things the first time.
Honestly it just seems like it's not in them as people, like they just have their own lives and interests and goals and kids wouldn't be doing much for them in that regard.
For one thing they're both kind of workaholics and while I can imagine Tony touting the benefits of his fancy new patented systems of automated childcare I feel like the distance he had with his own father would dissuade him from doing the same to his own children.
The Blog The ArtWhen have the films ever cared about the TV shows?
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.A timeskip wouldn't directly contradict the shows either. It would make life harder for one show in particular and would leave it having to run around trying to figure out how to follow suit, but that's their relationship already. The movies do stuff and the show bends over backwards to incorporate whatever new thing they did.
I can't imagine it would be any trickier than that time the films literally scrapped the show's entire premise in its first season.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.As I've pointed out before the films couldn't keep up with the shows even if they wanted to. Whatever SHIELD's status quo is when a given film starts production, it'll be drastically different by the time the film is actually released.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies. And, aside from Winter Solder, none of the other movies have ever had much of an impact on the show. Age of Ultron provided a short side story that fed into the movie, but that was it, and from what I hear, the show is going to have it's own version of Civil War that's going to be different from the movie.
Honestly, the end of Phase 3 is in 2019, which means Agents of SHIELD would be in its fifth season. If they did do a time skip for the show, I would be perfectly fine with that. I doubt, however, that they will do a time skip for the movies, since they probably want to hang onto the heroes they've got right now for as long as possible.

Syndication is traditionally not a huge thing for serialized dramas, though.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.I mean, serialized dramas do get syndicated, but it's not a priority for them the way it is for sitcoms.
Also Grey's has 258 episodes and is still running, so. If that's your model, SHIELD probably will be around for a long-ass time.

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies. It'd be a bit different in this case, I think, because it's a Marvel series. Marvel is making big bucks, anyone would want to syndicate it.
Or they could give a network exclusive rights to rerun it or something, I don't know.

Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?

Yeah, it says something about the Young Avengers and the Avengers from the future
◊ in the comics that not even half are descended from the current Avengers. Aside from Wanda's reincarnated kids, Mar-Vell's unknown son with a Skrull princess, Cassie Lang, Jessica and Luke's daughter and the daughter of Songbird there aren't that many that I recall. Marvel are more for legacy with heroes called the same but new faces beneath the masks.
