Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Nope, she very specifically said that her mother was buried under debris which fell because of the Hulk.
The high res still of the suit.

The youtube compression did a number on it, it looks vastly different here. The bad quality basically erased the suit's texture.

He looks like the 70's spider-man with a few breakups in his costume
.
I actually wasn't expecting them to go with such a classic look so I'm alright with this.

Maybe as a Mythology Gag he can shoot web at his own underarms to kind of glide.

Plus, doesn't she say that her mother died in collapsed building? The Hulk doesn't collapse any buildings in Avengers, that's the Chitauri, again.

So IGN said Spider-Man was in the trailer.
I dared not to look anywhere until I saw the trailer.
So I saw it all (though I had to rewind once just to see if Hawkeye really did shoot an arrow that splitted into mini-missles or whatever and saw that Ant-Man was on one of them. That was sweet!). And just at the end, Iron Man said something and BOOM! Web-shot from the sky and Spider-Man just took Cap's shield and was all "Hey Guys."
And I was all "OH FFFFFFF—!" in excitement because holy crap, guys I love this! My hands are shaking in excitement as I type this.
So what? You guys think the suit's some kind of microfiber thing or what? It seriously blew my mind when he squinted! ![]()

Those casualty numbers seem insanely low, I don't know enough economics to judge the overall losses number. Interesting that the Hulk Rampage in Avengers 2 wasn't included in the mash.
And yeah Tony comes across more sympathetic to me, Bucky strait up trying to shoot him in the head and Rhodey getting hurt or killed kinda does that. Also it's worth noting that Tony seems to at least start out being pretty nice, his (I assume initial) attempt to detail Cap is done without even harming him and even when it comes to a fight he's trying to get Cap to back down.
A few things beyond the obvious hype moments, Widow appears to be on the run at some point despite being on Team Tony? We get a second of Crossbones, also dam all the jump cuts, can't get a proper picture, which is probably a good time.

Well, she didn't say the Hulk but one of those idiotic descriptions the Netflix shows use, but it was pretty clear that she meant the Hulk...and he did run through this one building in order to keep the Chitauri ship crashing into it. Most likely rescued the life of everyone in the office, but what about the people down on the street when the debris fell?

The Hulk did run through an office building, but he jumped out of a window onto some Chitauri. And by that point, I don't think anybody was outside, but rather people were trying to get inside. So I fail to see how the Hulk caused debris to kill anyone.
The guy who stopped the Deadpool movie from happening for a decade is apparently involved with the Spider-Man movies now at Sony so...
Speaking of Deadpool, obligatory post
.

This will sound crazy, but just from those 5 seconds, I have a really good feeling that everyone's gonna be saying "MCU!Spidey is best Spidey!"
I'm sorry, but I can't not be excited for this Spider-Man!
EDIT: Also, did anyone notice Spidey's knees sort of wobble when he makes his superhero landing? I don't know if there's a specific name for it...
