Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

I dont know, If you freeze the video you could see Tony shock with bucky atack, he was trying to kill him, so between cap defending a derenge killer and shooting rhodes out of the sky....
Also I think it was vision who shoot rhodes, maybe under scarlet witch hex?
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"The chaos during the Battle for New York was confined to a few city blocks surrounding Stark Tower. I'd actually have expected Sokovia to have a much higher death toll despite the Avengers' best efforts. It was a much larger area being assaulted by murderbots, while the Avengers' ability to be everywhere was constantly undermined by being clumped in groups of 3-5.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Musing on this further, the Chitauri Invasion was a battle of subjugation, not extermination. They were using shock and awe tactics, making grand shows of force by blowing up empty cars and shit to intimidate the humans into submission, and they were taking prisoners. We see them corralling civilians into a bank. They might have been given an extermination order after they finished seizing the city but for the time being, they were actually making the effort to not just kill everyone.
They were shooting for the "enemy surrenders" victory condition over the "complete annihilation" one, which makes sense because the latter is really hard. Most battles are won in the former way.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Well, at least one woman died because the Hulk-debris fell on her....
I actually have a harder time believing that there weren't more causalities in Washington, considering Hydra killed their fellow agents left and right, but perhaps they were only counting civilian causalities....
Btw, around the 20th time I watched the trailer I got used to the Spider-man costume.

That prison is totally going to be called the Raft.
