Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Something that puzzles me. If the Doctor Strange film is doing California Doubling with London standing in for NYC, why not just have that part of the film set in London in the first place? The movies have done a decent job of not making everything set there like the comics, plus Cumberbatch is British anyway.
Martin Freeman is indeed Everett Ross.

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectI adore the coat. Plus, I am unable to see a cape without thinking "NO CAPES!" immediately. Hopefully Vision will never rue that he took inspiration from Thor. But those two are kind of able to pull the cape off, being more or less alien to out world. And I guess it just belongs to the get-up of Doctor Strange (Did you see the vid from the set? I love how it moves in the wind). But generally speaking, the less capes the better.
Thankfully Jack Kirby wasn't a big fan of capes.
So either someone's dying, Thunderbolts are showing up or Cap changes name to Nomad.
Edit:
Actually, Kirby liked capes but not on "human" characters. More godlike beings wearing capes was alright.

I really want the current Avenger team to be a mainstay. Mostly because out side of Cap, none of these characters have franchises of their own to give them focus.
And because I love Rhodey and Sam, and I don't want them to be forever in the shadows of the four BIG avengers; Tony, Steve, Thor and Hulk.

Ah. I was gonna say, it'd be a little weird to do a movie/project based on the video game. But I think an Avengers Academy movie (based on the comic) could be interesting.
When we're done, there won't be anything left.
