Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Hulk was going to like a movie, but it didn't live up to his expectations.
Hulk backlash.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Hulk likes playing in the pool.
Hulk splash.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Hulk found a substance to soothe his temperament.
Hulk hash.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.I feel like I should post panels and pages of Hulk in Infinity Gauntlet so you can see how 616!Hulk was around that time. Spoilers of course:
- Here he is hanging out with everyone's favorite mutant
◊(Adam tells them to kill Thanos if given the chance a few panels later since everyone else on his team would hesitate if given the chance to end things)
- Here's the most awesome team Warlock could get
◊(How many of these that aren't owned by Fox do you think we'll see in the MCU?)
- Here's the green angry dudes punching Thanos
◊
- Here's Hulk right before joining the team
◊
- Here Hulk tries to take the Gauntlet
◊(Warlock takes it)
- Slapped
◊(Note that Cap died from one of these from Thanos)
- Thanos vs Hulk! Fight!
◊
- This would actually work because Hulk still needs air to live
◊
- In the few pages Nebula got the Gauntlet this is pretty much all she managed to do aside from resetting the universe back to the way it was
◊

Not true! She also did this
◊.

Well yeah, that's why I said pretty much
Set before she was turned into a cyborg
◊(the only thing of note she did as a cyborg was join Gamora's sisterhood of warriors
◊ and get stomped by Ronan
◊).

Correct. She used to have long hair and a conventionally attractive appearance, but she later was put into a coma and had to have surgery that rendered her bald and with a bunch of cybernetic parts.
The movie, being an Adaptation Distillation, chose to use the latter appearance.
Out of twenty one? characters in that picture
Nine already have or will definitely appear in an MCU movie
Three are strong maybes
And four have already appeared in a marvel Fox film
And Namor will never appear in anything.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersWho knows, Disney's lawyers are really good, they might manage to free Namor from Legal limbo....he is certainly a character worth having back in the fold. Even though Marvel is currently pretty much booked with movies and TV shows. I mean, just assuming that Marvel sticks to giving each character a trilogy and not more, phase four is already pretty full if we assume that Spider-man, Black Panther, Dr. Strange and Captain Marvel each get a sequel, Ant-man might get a third movie and then there are the Inhumans. And a third Guardians of the Galaxy movie should be a safe bet, too. Netflix is so successful with their shows that I wouldn't be surprised that if they announce that they will do three instead of two shows a year, and characters like the Punisher and Moon Knight are already waiting in the woodworks for their own outing.
Agent Carter is sadly struggling in the ratings (which I honestly don't get, the show is great quality wise - they recently posted a video showing the CGI used in season 1 and I was frankly stunned how much was actually not a set but put into the frame by a computer, I would have never guessed), and Agent of SHIELD is still getting flak for its first season even though it is now one of the best (maybe the best) Comic book shows on network TV, but considering that Marvel's most wanted and Damage Control are in the works, I guess the Spy-section of the Marvel universe will grow too.

Hulk throws a football to someone while doing a Sean Connery impression.
Hulk pash.
