Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

I stand with Khfan as well.
It looks like we're setting up TVTROPES: CIVIL WAR.
Wack'd - "Sorry, Melon, Squirrel girl is my friend."
Very Melon - "...So was I."
"All you Fascists bound to lose."In this conext I imagine I'm Vision.
Notice Vision has most of the Brazilian flag colors.
Confirmed.

"All you Fascists bound to lose."I mean, I may have a limit to how many books I can afford to buy, but I don't have a limit on how many characters I like.
Oh God! Natural light!I will admit, I do find someone going "gosh-darn" funny. I'd probably read Squirrel-Girl if the art was different.
Squirrel Girl would make an awesome self-Affectionate Parody of the MCU, maybe even a parody-into-a-reconstruction in the way Galaxy Quest did.
Like, on the surface it looks like a straightforward story about a girl who gets powers and decides to become a superhero. But her powers are silly, and herself is a madcap Genki Girl who might be a little delusional. And the MCU's a lot more grounded than the comics, so the idea of some kid just going out and thwarting crime because it's righteous and awesome clashes.
But most importantly, the movie would acknowledge all of that but ultimately not care (I'd especially love it if the movie lampoons the idea of an adaptation having to be more realistic or grounded).

Waititi talks more about Hulk
, and suggests we will get a smarter Hulk.
He says right now they're discussing whether or not he should talk this time.
Smarter Hulk huh. Hmm....Meh, it could apply to any number of Hulk stories.

Agreed.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.
