Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Vision's powered by the Mind Gem, not the Soul Gem.
I knew that. I was just testing you.

"AI is hard. It needs space magic. Not sure if that makes it better?"
Better than magical sperm that is actually mephisto....
For some reason I imagine Thanos getting the mind gem as the last one and once he put the glove, Javis voice come from it
My guess is that Vision will seemingly be killed by having his gem stolen, but will then somehow get back up. Sort of like a Magic Feather moment but with a higher risk of death.
"I didn't need the Mind Stone. It was inside me all along."
"Well, yeah, it literally was, and now it isn't. How the hell are you still alive?"
"No, I internalized its power. Or something."
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Tony will probably Stark some sort of power source to reactivate/rebuild Vision
I've been reading Jim Starlin's Captain Marvel and Warlock, and I'm so amused that Thanos destroys solar systems as a Grand Romantic Gesture to woman who barely acknowledges him.
Make mine Marvel.I'm reeeeaaaally hoping Death shows up in Infinity War.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.@Mind Stone containing a piece of Vision: You mean how in the comics the Soul Gem holds the soul of Warlock most of the time
◊? Thanos actually pulled it from Warlock's brow at one point after killing him
◊(his soul fought back later using the Gem and took out Thanos
◊).
Vision has quite an iconic death in front of him(that will most likely be reversed right away)
◊.
Edit: Due to![]()
I feel like I should post Mar-Vell(Thanos' archenemy along with Warlock) talking about Thanos' origin.
◊

When Thanos had his heart ripped out by Drax that one time he helped Annihilus almost take over the universe, he was later shown chilling with Death.
So maybe she's less interested in all the planet exploding and just wants him to die painfully.
Sort of exactly why he was so pissed off come his inevitable resurrection. And why he Thanos'd Phyla-Vell right in the face.

She probably just wants him dead forever with her.
◊
(He looks really strange when he's dead and in black robes

These two pictures pretty
◊ much says everything about Thanos.
◊ If the MCU can come even close to this I'll be happy.
Death is such a tease. Poor Thanos. I mean, what kind of heartless personification of a universal concept do you have to be lead on such an affectionate Omnicidal Maniac?

Make mine Marvel.In... fairness??? to Thanos, Death made him the way he is.
There was a Thanos mini where she kept spurring him on to kill greater and greater numbers of people.
Also, he looks unbelievably smug in that scan where he's dead.
Forever liveblogging the Avengers"Hey Thanos whats the deal with you creating life?"
"Fine, I'll go and murder my bastards, geez. Pushy"
What are the odds Cate Blanchett's Hela ends up as a Composite Character with Death?

Technically, Tony's box full of computers is a bunch of VI's.
They would need the Mind Gem to be AI's apparently.
AI is hard. It needs space magic.
Not sure if that makes it better?
