Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Would it be like a Real Life writer writing about how people with Leprosy glow in the dark or more akin to writing about how Asian people have huge anime eyes?

Intentional disinformation on vampires?

All your safe space are belong to TrumpIt's an interesting topic actually; the Marvel monsters are kind of varied, with multiple different types of the more common ones, although the more typical tend to be more prevalent. And allowing misinformation to spread is something I could see the Legion of Monsters doing.
It would take a while to get to it from the current status quo but I would like to see some of the monsters in the MCU somewhere eventually. It could most easily be done by having one turn up in a Doctor Strange film. Jack Russell/Werewolf by Night could work as he could be linked in by the Darkhold.

"Stephanie Meyer is a vampire" has long been my favorite explanation for the Twilight series. It's pro-vampire propaganda, meant to make young women more receptive and gullible to being preyed upon.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.I only picture Count Orlok reading the series, then putting the book down with a heavy look of seriousness in his expression, then looks up to Meyer and says with gravity "I know we have viciously murdered untol millions across the millenia for their blood but this...this is too much Stephanie." Then he just gives a Thousand-Yard Stare
"All you Fascists bound to lose."This is totally something I would do, but I don't think I'd be comfortable doing it with living authors.
A parody, maybe? It might lose some of its bite though (hahaha).
Oh God! Natural light! You know, for all the flaws of the Twilight series, it has what may be the most powerful vampires ever shown. No weakness to sunlight, stakes or crosses, they can go anywhere, not to mention the random powers you can get (the fourth book actually introduced a kid who could control the four classical elements).
I'd imagine the MCU vampires would be torn between liking how powerful they are portrayed and hating the characterization.
Now guys like the Olympians or the Egyptian gods might have something to complain about. Especially Hades and Anubis.
Alucard already killed Edward and Bella in Hellsing Ultimate Abridged. And Bella was voiced by Masako X, the voice of Goku and Gohan in Dragon Ball Z Abridged (he's got a really convincing female voice, not gonna lie).
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?

It'd also be even more confusing to people who know things about vampires.
It might also be a hate crime.
