Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Fruits and veggies IN pizza is fine and natural, it's only when they show themselves in public that they lower the quality of the pizza to unacceptable levels.

I am Jewish and also the absolute worst at keeping kosher.
A god that does not want us to eat lobster is not one I feel comfortable worshiping.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies. Can we perhaps go back on topic? Please?
So, who else can't wait for Ao S?

I've heard it's better than it used to be but my friend with similar tastes as me says it's more So Bad, It's Good nowadays, so I don't know.
I really can't see how it's So Bad, It's Good. I can see how some viewers might think it's So Okay, It's Average (certainly, it doesn't have the same camera stylization as Agent Carter or Jessica Jones), but I personally think it's because a pretty awesome show that builds up a lot of momentum and then just unleashes it.

Honestly, season 1 is okay as a start, just nothing special. Things start getting really interesting with the point where it joins Winter Soldier and HYDRA comes back. Season 2 introduces the Inhumans, which is a nice touch. And I enjoy season 3 so far. But much like the rest of the MCU, I feel this show is... a bit too afraid to use actual supervillains.
Supervillainy hasn't traditionally been a SHIELD thing.
They usually deal with various costumed terrorist groups and nerds pretending to be beekeepers
Although they are dealing with a lot of powered people in the show
They aren't putting on masks and robbing banks though

Forever liveblogging the AvengersI had to accept a long time ago that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. would never really use traditional comic book super-villains the same way The Flash 2014 does.
The show is so good, I will most likely force myself out of my bed impossible early in order to watch it, so that I can work the rest of the day without worrying. The show is currently meaaaaaaaaaaan. (And they promised another game changer for the mid-season final).
What are you talking about? Ao S is by now full with comic book characters...most of them are just really obscure.

@Bocaj: the fact they are dealing with a lot of superpowered people is the reason of my complain. Now I am fine with not having the villains robbing banks, but the show's apparent reluctance to use supervillains costumes and aliases disappoints me a bit. I get that it can be silly, but Marvel has shown several times by now they embraced the comic book sillyness and were great at updating it to make it work. Why is it so hard to do the same with their villains? Why do they usually go for making the villains as normal as possible?

Meat pizza is the only true pizza. Any pizza with vegetables or fruits on it is not fit for Human consumption.
