Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

I'll echo all of those. Plus the Runaways (who could be fit in nicely given some new Hydra details in Agents of Shield).
Also, while not asked, in terms of villains, I'd like to see Taskmaster, Janice Lincoln!Beetle, and Machinesmith.
My guess is that either Ao S or a Cap film will feature him at some point.
I would friggin' love to see Spider-Woman adapted. She is one of my favourite female superheroes.
Moon Knight, from what I heard about him, could be fun to adapted. And Cloak and Dagger would indeed work on Netflix.
"Blade, Ghostrider aso are all heroes which I consider an odd fit for the MCU. I would prefer them in their own, separate universe."
I respectfully disagree. They might not seem like they fit now, but once Dr Strange joins, I feel they will feel less odd if added. Beside, I love comic books specifically for their tendency to integrated pretty much anything they want in their Universe. Of course, I see your point, but personally that weird contrast is what makes them fun to me.
Definitely want to see Ms. Marvel and Miles Morales. Nova too. I also want to see Enchantress used at some point. And Shang-Chi.
That doesn't really stick it to them. If anything it just makes their job easier since now they don't have to worry about two completely different superheroes named Quicksilver confusing people.
I don't remember if Whedon said that it was his idea to kill Quicksilver or not but killing characters is kinda his thing.
I don't think Taskmaster is "most notable" as a Deadpool villain. I was a fan of the character and just recently I learned that fact. Taskmaster have made tons of appearances elsewhere, both recently and in the past. As far I can tell, he is just "most notable" as a Deadpool villain if you are a Deadpool fan, but if you are not and follow Avengers comics, then Taskmaster will be "most notable" as a all purpose Avengers villain.

Worth noting with Taskmaster, in Nick Spencer's Ant-Man run, Scott thinks of him as his arch nemesis (Taskmaster doesn't reciprocate).

Ms. Marvel, Squirrel-Girl, Spider-Woman, She-Hulk, and Young Avengers would be cool to see adapted.

When we're done, there won't be anything left.
