Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Uh, no. Those seem to just be sonic cannons.
This device emits a specific signal that paralyzes a person. It's not just a really loud and powerful blast of noise.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.I hope no one dies besides Cap, especially not at each other's hands, and if someone does I hope its given the weight it deserves.
Goliath dying and it being treated like just another C-List Fodder shock death, forgotten about within a few issues without really dealing with the fact that Stark essentially sent a superweapon on his friends and killed one of them is one of my least favorite things about the comics Civil War - which is saying a lot given how many stupid things are in that storyline.

Rogers: The Cap, Hawkeye, The Falcon, the Winter Soldier, Ant-man, Sharon Carter and potentially Scarlet Witch and Spider-man later on
No offense, but they kinda established that Spidey and Scarlet Witch were neutral guys.
Also, we never got Scarlet Witch in the X-Men movies, right? Because it just hit me that Marvel killing off Quicksilver in Age of Ultron but keeping Scarlet Witch alive might (emphasis on might) be Marvel's way of saying to Fox, "Oh, so you either thought you were clever to use Pietro before we could or thought Wanda was useless, eh? Well, up yours, because we're killing off our Pietro and using the other Maximoff twin that you probably regard as "useless". So suck on that, Fox!"
Of course, it is possible that that isn't the case.
Cloak and Dagger sound interesting. I guess Moon Knight might be a good option for Netflix. But otherwise...I think I am good, at least until Marvel gets the F4 properties back. I really want to see a Silver Surfer Origin movie.
Blade, Ghostrider aso are all heroes which I consider an odd fit for the MCU. I would prefer them in their own, separate universe. But I can certainly live without seeing them on the screen anytime soon.
Heroes I'm not familiar with due to lack of adaptation visibility.
Cloak and Dagger, Shang Chi, Moon Knight are prime for the Netflix adaptation.
Ms. Marvel, Miles Morales, and Spider-Woman.
People keep going on about how great this Nova person is so I guess wanna see what the deal is too.
Most of the others I was curious about or love are already getting movies or in series anyway: Quake, Mockingbird, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, the Inhumans, Captain Marvel, and Dr. Strange.
The Blog The Art

@swan - Thank you for the detailed explanation and recommendation. Should I ever change my mind, I will take a note of what you said.
@tucker - If he's willing to create more suits and even freaking Ultron, I'm pretty sure his morality will allow him to create a non-lethal stun device.
Also, damn, I completely forgot that movie existed.....Hang on, did I even watch that one? I watched Thor and Captain America back to back, but can't remember that one.
Continuously reading, studying, and (hopefully) growing.
