Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Damnit, the Vision can't leave! He hasn't had even a little robo-angst!
I want him shouting and crying and insisting that his behavior is completely logical!
Forever liveblogging the AvengersUh, no. She-Hulk wasn't his lawyer. It was Augustus "Pug" Pugliese. He wanted to take the case because Spider-Man saved his life once. And as such was pretty aggressive during it.

He's also pissed off the Avengers a few times since joining on account of being the only Avenger who refuses to unmask even to other Avengers. His secret identity defensiveness creates trust issues.
EDIT: And then there was his panic-attack freak out in Ultimate End when he found out that his Ultimate incarnation's identity was publicly revealed after his death, so all the Ultimate characters know. He was in full-blown off-the-walls "Everything is awful and the universe is ruined forever now" mode over this.
This is basically his entire character for the duration of the mini
◊. Also, since the context isn't readily apparent from just the one page, that's 616 Emma Frost. That's why that's funny and merited its own panel.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.All this talk of secret identities suddenly has me wanting to write a comic about a telepathic supervillain who lurks around super-battles and reads people's minds while the fighting's going on, then goes home and posts everybody's secret identity on the internet.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub."All will fear the Over-Share! ... Nope. Terrible screenname."
I was about to ask whether superheroes think about their secret identities in the middle of battle but thats like 90% of what Spider-Man thinks about so yeah I guess it would work.

Forever liveblogging the Avengers

I'm not sure why Spidey couldn't just ask his lawyer in private to go easy on Peter. Said lawyer didn't even let Peter respond while in court.
