Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

It was a wonderful movie! Definitely the best Thor movie in a long time. I love what they did with the Enchantress and Skurge and Bruce Banner's confrontation with the Hulk was just Oscar worthy.
Although having Jane Foster pick up Mjolnir and become the new Thor (if only for the climax of the film and then hand it back to old Thor) will surely cause a kerfuffle in the fandom.

Seeing as Talbot chased them into Canada I'd say it's entirely possible he chased them into the Southern Hemisphere. Though I stand that he'd just speaking for dramatic effect and not being exactly factual.
“And the Bunny nails it!” ~ Gabrael “If the UN can get through a day without everyone strangling everyone else so can we.” ~ CyranI don't mean to be negative but those ten minutes without Loki were the worst ten minutes of the movie.
Like we really needed to see Thor and Hulk playing charades for ten minutes
Forever liveblogging the AvengersIn addition, the romantic chemistry between Black Widow and Thor left much to be desired. I don't know who decided to just shoehorn the relationship in, but it needed a lot more setup in their interactions in previous films for us to buy it now.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.I actually found that bit sort of pretentious until Loki's manifestation as Stan Lee later in the film. Then it was clever.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.The death scenes were pretty pointless, though. I mean if they had properly established the Warrior Three beforehand, but I didn't even notice that they exchanged all of the actors for them until I read the end credits, that's how boring they were.
The mid-credit scene is a cruel cliff-hanger, though. Not that I really think that Thanos will kill Loki, but nevertheless....
I felt like the sex scene was a bit too explicit. That kind of thing might be okay in the Netflix shows, but for a PG-13 movie, it was just too much. Kids watch these things too, y'know.
I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon.

Sure, which is why I think it's a general dig, i doubt Ward knows of even cares about if his brother' seat would be up for reelection at the upcoming midterms. Hell he could have been saying that the trial would wrap up in time for the 2018 midterms campaign (2016 isn't midterms and trails can take a long time), or a hypothetical 2015 midterms campaign.
Ward was making a poetic dig about his brother being a politican, we shouldn't take it as a key factual statement about the year that it happens.
