Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

I'm not sure. I think it counts as indirect fucking up, if you believe that Stane wouldn't kill the golden goose if Tony was less unbearable. I don't want to say that Tony deserved to be killed, or that he brought it on himself, because that's going into "Alderaan shot first" territory, and I honestly don't think Tony deserved it.
Now that I think it over, I guess my judgement was tainted by Iron Man 2, where Tony deliberately plays up his asshole side.
Yes but as a subtitle to the movie it would have not sounded ridiculous while serving as a callback to Iron Man.
"War without fire is like sausages without mustard." - Jean Juvénal des UrsinsY'know what'd be hilarious and/or possibly awesome?
In a later move, as part of the stinger - BAM - we get a surviving Ultron body talking about the Masters of Evil or somesuch. The fans are freaking out, wondering how this one could have survived after Vision tracking them all down, and so on...
And then, in a German Swiss accent, it explains that Vision couldn't track down Ultron's AI in his body, because it's not Ultron. It's Zola. Somehow.
What a twist! Brilliant, I say!
Mostly joking, though I do think that would be an interesting, if easily made stupid if done wrong, idea. If they could affort an Ultron-bot on tv, that could be an interesting thing to do in Agents of SHIELD or something.

"hat's why Ultron was trying to bring about - the age of Ultron."
I know this sound silly but the movie could have a title drop somewhere.
"The Avengers in: goddamnit tony this is the fourth movie about you fucking up"
I have say a lot of time that by having 5 villians being evil tony is clear he should be the villian already, them I remenber the next movie is civil war...
I know this sound silly but the movie could have a title drop somewhere.
Saying the exact words "age of Ultron" would have been silly, though. Ultron did drop a big hint to that, however, when he said that the only things left on this world would be made of metal.

A good way around it would be for him to shout something "My Age begins now" or "As your age ends, my age begins"
"All you Fascists bound to lose."I mean, that's pretty much what he said anyway: "Do you see the beauty of it? The inevitability? You rise, only to fall. You, Avengers, you are my meteor, my swift and terrible sword. And the Earth will crack with the weight of your failure. Purge me from your computers, turn my own flesh against me. It means nothing! When the dust settles, the only thing living in this world...will be metal."
A year ago, covert organizations and iron men ruled.
It was a time of paranoia. It was a world of heroes.
It was the Age of Ultron.
Stark's puppet one day. Stringless savior that night.
Betrayed by the humans I had sworn to protect, forced to walk my path alone through destruction and ruin.
Now, here in Sokovia... I will cleanse the planet, and the world will live again!
I am the herald of a new age.
I am ULTRON!

I swear, that's a coincidence.
