Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Not sure if it's more an amused giggle or a sinister one.
Lincoln, the Inhuman boy in Agents of SHIELD, is getting the codename "Sparkplug"
.

Reminds me of the big "Square Enix considered Tomb Raider (2013) is a failure" debacle. Too many AAA companies setting unrealistic expectations.
Some people think the Perlmutter negativity has some Feige loyalist spin
.
I mean it's true Perlmutter is a jerk, plenty of people can and have attested to that for a while now. But the idea that this single man is solely responsible for everything wrong with Marvel Studios deserves some skepticism.

Did anyone say that? They restructured, and there is some hope that as a result diversity might be easier since the guy is known to be...problematic...in this regard. That doesn't mean that he is solely responsible for every decision Marvel ever made. And one shouldn't forget that this move not only gives Feige more freedom but also Disney more control.
Clint goes in all confident, challenges Thor, then goes down on the fifth pint.
Natasha holds it together for awhile, seemingly unaffected, then makes some random-sounding excuse, goes back to her room, and passes out on the bed.
Bruce...I feel like he shouldn't be drinking, but I guess he does during the party scene? I don't know.

Actually that'd make sense.
The angrier Hulk gets, the stronger he gets. The stronger he gets, the bigger he gets. The bigger he gets, the more Alcohol he can handle.
Thor matching him pint for pint makes him angrier every time they take a shot. Eventually, it is a drinking contest between Thor and Hulkzilla.

Mahershala Ali to play Carnell Cottonmouth
in Luke Cage. I remember him from The 4400. Also, in the show, his name will be Cornell "Cottonmouth" Stokes, which is probably for the best.
We Are With You Zack Snyder

Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureAll the mud slinging is frankly hysterical.
For the budget rumor...what did they think was going to happen? No seriously, it's a movie that by its premise involves as many heroes as possible, which means the salary budget alone had to be very expensive.

This is certainly getting amusing...I just hope that if their personal Civil War impacted the movie about the Civil war, then in a way that they challenged their anger into the creative process for some really intense scenes....when I watch the movie I want to see Superheroes fighting not the result of some in-studio fight plastered on the screen.
