Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Godzilla exists in the Marvel universe, though. So there's some precedent for Star Wars, too, I guess.
I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon.Do the Marvel Heroes and Star Wars now exist in the same reality?
Define "reality." Do you mean the same universe? Then no. Do you mean the same omniverse
? Then yes, but I do have to warn you that everything is in the omniverse, including you. Yes, you.
Godzilla exists in the Marvel universe, though.
Godzilla only existed when Marvel had the license. Now that they don't, he has been replaced by a completely different giant green lizard and everyone's memories were changed. Same thing with the Transformers and the Doctor.
(In all seriousness, it would be pretty silly if they said they were in the same universe. Because unless they do cross over, what would be the point?)

Ruffalo gave an explanation
about the Hulk situation in Civil War. He was in an earlier draft, but they wrote him out because they want his location after AOU to be secret, since it's somehow important to Infinity War.
"Random question: Do the Marvel Heroes and Star Wars now exist in the same reality? I mean Star Wars is set in a galaxy far, far away but that could simply mean that it is so far away that it didn't impact the MCU."
you know, I have been joking that tony build stuff each time he have a crisis, Iron man 3? build a lot of suits, Avenger? create pretty much Marvel skynet, so by logic if Tony have a middle age crisis he will build the damn Death star because that is how it does
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Mark Ruffalo Finally Tells Everyone Whether the Hulk Is in Captain America: Civil War

They could tweak the origin of Misty a little bit and making her one of the victims of "The Battle of New York" (Which would explain why Tony would create an arm for her). They could even say that she did work at a desk for a while but though she would be allowed back in the field after she got her arm, which didn't happen.
