Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Is it sad I'm looking forward to the Captain Marvel movie in part for the possibility of a Kamala Khan cameo/spin-off?

3 Days Old, but still worth posting.
Man, I hope they find a role for Garfield somewhere in the MCU involved in future Spider-Man projects. Eddie Brock or Cletus Cassidy, maybe?
Even as a cameo - it'd be fun for Chameleon to show up as a villain, and at certain points turn into Tobey MaGuire, Andrew Garfield and maybe Nicholas Hammond.

Toby as Kaine. Andrew could still be Ben. Just science up some bullshit about certain twins not looking exactly the same because of things that happen in the womb and how that applies here.
My various fanfics. It's why I figured on Venom. Eddie being older than Peter but still being an Evil Counterpart works pretty well for a previous Spidey actor.
Human development is highly stochasticnote and that's even before you factor in things like epigenetics or spontaneous mutations (who knows, maybe they were really sloppy or adventurous and worked with mutagenic chemicals). Besides, they could always blame any differences on the accelerated aging process was used to get them to adulthood. They're all brown-haired white people so it's less of a hard pill to swallow.
That's a good one, though Garfield is kinda slim and Venom is traditionally bulky.

Well Justin Hammer was never presented as his comicbook supervillian counterpart. He was just like you and I pointed out. A wannabe Tony Stark, but ends up failing. He never wanted to physically hurt anyone.
Rockwell last said "Ah! I was hoping to come back in one of the Avengers films and come after Gwyneth Paltrow, because that's what they set up, that I was going to get revenge on Gwyneth for getting me arrested or something. I could do a Cape Fear thing with Gwyneth. But they've got a lot of mojo in there already, so I don't know if they need another pirate like me in the mix there! [Laughs.] Maybe S.H.I.E.L.D. is the way to go."
before All Hail King. Meanwhile, in All Hail King Justin sat there jealous of all the fame a bigger fake idiot than himself received from the inmates. essentially he is an attention whore. If he came back again it would be his time to rise for all this glory and the only way to do that is through help. Que Thunderbolts. What role can an idiot play? What happens if someone instructed him? Tony once called Living Laser and Whirlwind both annoying flies that need to go away. Despite they have armor they do not meet the requirements to be a challenge towards Tony. He hates them. The MCU's Justin Hammer can fill in that niche. All he wants is the fame Tony was born with. However, he isn't one of the crazies out there, so evil isn't a word to describe him. If he came back in a bigger antagonistic role he would need a pretty good reason to join the dark side. Remember he tried to stop Vanko once the dude did something crazy at his expo. Why join a group with Leader and Abomination? Bam... greed consumed him, driving him insane. We already saw the process. Just expand upon it. Everyone would be a prick in his eyes. A prick that he wants to pluck out. That's the only thing I can think of for his character right now.
Honstally the only reason anyone wants Justin Hammer is because he's entertaining to watch. Who cares if he causes a lot of explosions or not. We care about his flamboyance! He's one of those characters that would be nice to watch just for his own program
