Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Is there any way to create a compelling Avengers fight scene without resorting to a Mook army?
I'm beginning to see the argument for Masters of Evil, now. It may be the only way to create a compelling fight for all involved without making it so that they're all fighting the same damn thing.

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.I expect with Thanos, the Avengers will be the mook army he wades through.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersSo we'll get a oner of Thanos steam-rolling his way through The Avengers single-handedly to show how awesome he is?
......That'd actually be pretty awesome now that I think about it.

One Strip! One Strip!Hey, if Thanos somehow brings back all of the previous enemies from Phase 1 and 2 as his underlings in Infinity War, that would be awesome.
Just imagine Cap and Bucky fighting against the Red Skull, Hulk taking on the Abomination (and the Leader thrown in for good measure), Tony fighting against a resurrected Ultron, Thor stabbing and killing Loki (especially if Widow and Hawkeye are involved in killing him as well)...
Seriously, Loki better die horribly in Infinity War.
Again, Thanos could always have the Black Order as a Quirky Miniboss Squad.
I want Thanos to either kill Loki with his bare hands or for Thor to do a repeat of the miniseries Loki. Which ends with Loki, realizing Thor was the only person who truly cared about him despite all his astounding dickishness, decides to abandon his life of villainy....but by this point he's conquered Asgard, killed several innocents and has been torturing Thor for some time. So when Thor inevitably breaks free, Loki tries to tell him how he's changed only for Thor to grimly murder him
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Except that's not what happened. He didn't run away from her and take away her change at a normal life. He offered her a normal life and she said no. She spent Ao U trying to work out what she wanted, to have a normal life or to be part of a team of heroes doing good, she made her choice loud and clear when she declared that "I need the other guy".
Banner didn't reject her, she rejected Banner.
“And the Bunny nails it!” ~ Gabrael “If the UN can get through a day without everyone strangling everyone else so can we.” ~ CyranHopefully her pushing him down the pit and him subsequently sulking off in a Quinjet will cause them to go back to Just Friends by the time Infinity War rolls out.
I mean, I'm not a fan of romance in general, but that was just so cringe-worthy and shoehorned in that it was ridiculous.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! You can still use Kid Loki and Tom Hiddleston, you just make the Hiddleston Loki into a spirit guide (an evil spirit guide, maybe?) or hallucination. I mean, currently there are even two versions of Loki in the Marvel universe (or, well, what's left of it): God of Stories Loki and Evil King Loki.
Really, I want a movie or Netflix show about Journey Into Mystery. And then Young Avengers. And then Loki: Agent of Asgard.

Consider tony convince him to make ultron, scarlet witch mind controling him and black widow kicking out
Huh? 1) Bruce agreed on making Ultron, so it's his own damn fault, too. 2) Yes, he blames Wanda, but not enough to attack everyone else. 3) Black Widow "kicking out"? What? You mean her pushing him down so that he would become the Hulk? Because I'm pretty sure he doesn't blame her for that, he knows she had to do it, but ran away anyway.
In any case: no, there hasn't been enough reasons for him to go World War Hulk.

I want the climax of every movie to happen shrunk-down in Cassie's bedroom.
PAXTON: Seriously? Again?!
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.
