Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Vulture having connections to Falcon in the MCU would be pretty cool, especially if he doesn't die in his first appearance and makes a more general MCU appearance after facing Spidey (or if, like Ant-Man, Falcon makes an appearance in the movie).
Though I suppose that's not worth spoilering that much anymore. It's plastered all over the advertising now.

I think it'd be more interesting if he were genuinely clean to begin with, and turned to crime out of frustration/desperation after being stolen from by the US military.
Continues the whole "we create our own demons" theme the MCU likes, even if the demon in this case is a grouchy frail old man with a wingsuit.
Or like what Stark may have done if the government managed to seize his Iron Man suit.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!well to be fair, it was a different set of circumstances. tony stark made the suit from scraps he found in the prison he was in. he probably would have made something a bit more elegant if he had the proper tools, which he did later.
tony's an inventor anyway. it makes sense for him to keep making new suits, it's what he does.

Ehh... certain minor villains should stick around so they can make appearances in other films. I wholly support Taskmaster showing up in a few movies as a minor antagonist, or even Batroc getting into trouble again.
But the major plot-drivers should be killed off or otherwise removed from the picture. They had their time to shine, and re-using the same villain makes for a dull plot (And is one of the biggest issues with the X-Men films).

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!i don't care that much if the villain gets offed in the movie provided he's a good villain.
the main problem with the mcu rogues is that, as many have said before, the films are very, very focused on the main character and usually don't spend as much time on the villain.
part of the reason that loki and wilson fisk are considered the best mcu villains is that their respective works treat them with as much importance as the main character, not to mention kingpin is in a tv show that can afford to spend a lot more time fleshing out the character.

I would also like to add that Tony is rich and Cap's suit was made by the army, he didn't have to make it himself.
Matt and Peter, on the other hand, had to make it all themselves with a limited budget. Matt even tells Foggy that he got most of the stuff off the internet.

I hope not. I was actually hoping that all the Gladiator references were just Mythology Gags, since even in the comics, I like him better as an ally of Daredevil's than as an enemy.
Yeah, I was thinking he's pretty clearly a good guy here, but maybe he'd take up the Gladiator identity as a heroic vigilante rather than a villain.
But yes, it's probably best the Mythology Gag remains just a Mythology Gag and he sticks with his civillian identity.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! That looks like something a teenager would throw together in a couple hours. If he's just starting out, it would work.
I mean, how did Tobey Maguire's Peter sew that fancy costume so quickly anyway?
I'm not sure it's real though.

They're not just similar, they're the exact same angle with the exact same cars in the street. It's fake.

I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon.

Recent-er comics have Vulture working pretty good as a gang leader, often giving his minions the ability to fly.
Annnnd sometimes using small children as minions because sure I guess.
