Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

It looks like they tried to homage her original Silver Age helmet

Well, the suit is unfinished. Maybe they never got to the arms. Maybe Janet was like "I want spinning rims on my elbows" and Hank was like "....let's see how the rest of the suit goes first."
Also boob socks.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies. My sister did gymnastics, so I know from form-fitting.
Nobody but comic book artists designs clothes like that. It's boob socks.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.I entirely wouldn't mind if the suit design changes in the process of being finished.
Still it was a thrill seeing the new Wasp suit in the movie even if at the very last minute
Edit: Wait, are those cylinders supposed to be pym particles? They are blue. Do people just color code pym particles with food coloring? Please tell me the answer is yes.

Forever liveblogging the AvengersI'm glad Wasp is in the MCU, but I wish Hope was a bit bubblier and perkier like the Earth's Mightiest Heroes cartoon Wasp.
Actually, what I really want is for Janet to be saved from the Quantum Realm and for her to have the bubbly, perky personality.
I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon. That's when a superheroine's costume seems to have separate pouches for their breasts.
Look at 90s Rogue for an example.

Forever liveblogging the AvengersIt is kind of silly, but Awesome, but Impractical is pretty much the Wasp's entire MO. She comes up with ridiculously fashionable and flamboyant costumes regardless of how impractical/dangerous they are in combat situations.
She's like the anti Edna Mode.
Sleeves Are for Wimps. Just because Hank and Scott are wussies who need covered arms doesn't mean a BAMF like Hope is.
@Spash: To be fair, Wasp only started with a bubbly, perky personality, at least in the comics, and got somewhat more serious after she started being one of the teams' leaders. Since Jan!Wasp in the movies already has some experience behind her, she might not be so perky, for better or worse. (Somewhat perky, maybe, but not that perky.)
