Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

This is pretty much the only thing that needs to happen only Mar dies from the blast and Carol wakes up with powers instead of like the comics where Mar got cancer years later and Carol took weeks to figure out she was different.
◊ We don't need Yon-Rogg or his exploding wish machine(hell, replace him with Thanos firing a blast from the Mind Stone at a jet or something). We only need a sacrifice to motivate Carol to be the best and nicest hero who happens to have Kree DNA.
...We're not going to get any of the good Kree are we? We're only going to get bad guys, corrupt military dudes, terrorists and fanatics aren't we?

Oh god, the Kree corpse is the "guest", isn't it?
I just got that name.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.In Moscow, I think
doing a small thing.
Instead he had an American face to hurt.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersEither because they think female doesn't sell or because she is the only one in the group with no real power/gimmick. Or both. Or they disapproved of Joss Whedon's choice to pair her with Banner
She's right next to Hawkeye under Iron Man's repulsor
◊.
I don't think the new age is Ultron's, I think it's more about the characters themselves. Natasha and Cap are training the next generation of Avengers, Bruce/Hulk is running away, Tony has to overcome his issues (except this time they are about the Avengers), Thor is, uh... I dunno what Thor's deal is, and Hawkeye is balancing his family with his work.
But then why does the age get to be named after him? Stupid spotlight hog...
That's not an age, that's Character Development or character evolution. Which is good mind you, but doesn't qualify as an "Age".

I think it's because it was his creation and destruction that set those events in motion. Or maybe it's a red herring
EDIT:
Except Civil War and Infinity War are coming up as a result of this movie.

He was threatening an Age of Ultron
replacing the fleshbags with metal forms.
Its not like Captain America was really the first Avenger. Or even the first avenger.
The jedi didn't really return. There were actually multiple hopes.
The journey to the west went in other directions as well.
I don't think there will actually be zero crusades in the future.
Forever liveblogging the Avengers

Maybe Mar-vell could show up in Carol's movie as an MCU expy of Abin Sur and entrust Carol with the mantle of 'Captain Marvel', and then die from Kree cancer.
