Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Do you think it's going to be Surtur or will he be Hijacked By Loki?

The world will look up and shout "Save us", and I'll look down and whisper "Too bad, Waluigi Time" Vote Loki 2016The movie is called Ragnarok. It kind of has to have one
◊ of the villains
◊ connected to Ragnarok
◊ as its villain and they're all pretty much above Loki in terms of power.
We have sort of-confirmation that Peggy and Sharon are relatives.

Some 'breaking news'.
I like that many people in the comments are playing along.

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectMan, it is pretty scary to think that you could kill someone when you're small. Ant man ain't nothing to fuck with.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectIt's odd that I never actually contemplated how deadly that would be.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectCool use of detail there. Nice bit of "realism" in terms of the implication of the power. Unlike Scott, Hank Pym definitely knows how to punch
Interesting that the fake news piece describes Scott as a cyber criminal. Like learning that because in the comics, he's a fairly intelligent guy and the previews haven't really given that sense.

Funny that a joke almost exactly like that is one of the top comments.
Bad taste, but I laughed anyway.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectYeah, I'd like to see it become an ongoing thing.

Really disappointing
. Though I'll agree with her take that if they didn't see eye to eye now it's better to call it a quits before we end up with yet another Creator Backlash case.
It's too bad, but she is right. If she doesn't feel that she can mesh well with what Marvel has in mind, she shouldn't do it. We certainly don't need another female director who steps down practically immediately after getting hired for a Superhero movie. I am sure Marvel will find someone eventually.

Thor's going to be really pissed when he gets back home only to find Surtur burning the worlds.
