Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

I thought about that angle right after I hit post and edited it into my post. I do think Fisk had to do something major near the end, less to motivate the protagonists and more to prove that he was closing in on them, but that something didn't actually have to be killing someone. Burning down Ben Uric's house with him inside of it (only for him to manage to crawl out with a few burns) would of had the same narrative impact.
It would have made a even more chilling scene. Can you imagine Fisk visiting Phil's wife, being all Faux Affably Evil, overall chatting with her about her husband's actions, and then she forgets the conversation and Fisks explains to her she just forgot their entire conversation, but not to worry, she won't forget anything ever again. Fisk curls up his hand into a fist, and prepares for the blow. Smash to Black.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."What I'd realy find funny is if she actually appears very briefly and Thanos just knocks her out cold and says something like "Finally!".
"All you Fascists bound to lose."...Now that's just mean.
Especially because the stuff I've heard about her new series sounds really awesome.
Oh God! Natural light!Oh no it's just a joke because she seems to have amassed a large Hatedom for some reason or another.
Additional: Yea, I don't like her because I believe she's an overdone joke. Never even read a comic of hers.

Conceptually speaking she isn't that bad of a character, but yes the joke has been driven to the ground with all the finnesse of a flying warhammer.
To have her show up only to be anti-climatically defeated for once is the only thing that would get an actual chuckle out of me.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."In the Squirrel Girl comic's defense, it only did the "Squirrel Girl can easily beat anyone" joke once so far, and it actually showed how she did it, too, instead of making it offscreen. There's really a lot more to her character than just one overdone joke.
I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon.![]()
Hey now, Mjolnir is the definition of finnesse.

I still think they didn't need to kill anyone. Ms. Cardenas already died. It was already personal enough for the main cast.
