Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

They've already used Amazing and Spectacular, but they could still use Sensational Spider-Man, Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, Web of Spider-Man, etc. There are plenty of titles available.
Hell, there's even a comic outright called The Avenging Spider-Man.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub."Spider-Man: Back In Black."
"But we haven't even had him wear the suit for the first time yet?"
"Spider-Man: Brand New Day?"
"The fans would hate us."
"Spider-Man: One More Day?"
"They would kill us in our beds."
"Spider-Man: The First Hunt?"
"Look, make another list before tomorrows meeting."

I really like the stuff about the Scarlet Spider.
I agree completely. Then, flip his gender and name him Jessica Drew. And then drop the part about Spider-Man.
Are we talking about 616!Spider-Woman or Ultimate!Black Widow
◊?

Spider-Man was(after a while)on Cap's side in Civil War. Reed was one of the leaders of Tony's side.
Why can't it be both?
(Man, that reminds me, I really hope Ultimate Jessica Drew survives the Secret Wars reboot stuff...)
I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon. As much as I was Pro-Reg during Civil War, I did really like that moment. Spidey doesn't get to do enough during Events; it's nice, every now and then, when he gets those chances to remind people why he's Marvel's Flagship Character.
My favorite Major Event Spider-Man moment is still Spidey taking down two of the Pheonix FiveLISTEN simultaneously in Avengers v. X-Men, through wit, intelligence, and stubborn refusal to stay down and/or die.

◊ when everyone else seemed prepared to listen to his crazy ramblings until he got to the point?
No, that moment of awesome goes to Iron Man a few minutes prior for thoroughly defanging what was supposed to be an epic confrontation, when Osborn shows up in his Iron Patriot armor ready to have an ULTIMATE SHOWDOWN with Iron Man, and Stark just goes, "LOLNO" and remotely shuts down the Patriot.
Because it's his goddamn suit.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub. What I loved about that fight is how Spider-Man backhanded Wolverine like if he were just a bug. 80's Wolverine almost feels like a completely different character. He was mostly a brawler with claws and a bad attitude. Even his healing factor was not as overpowered.

Prof X is a hell of a Story-Breaker Power.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.That's why he falls victim to Drama-Preserving Handicap like once every ten minutes.

As a title I like "The Spectacular Spider-man" better, because it keeps in theme. But from a marketing point of view, I would certainly put the word "Avengers" somewhere in it, to clarify that the movie belongs to the MCU for the more oblivious audience.
