Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

No, it technically wasn't a 'What-If'. Yes, there was a story where a Future!Peter killed MJ with radioactive semen. Make of that what you will.
Just for posterity's sake, here it is, (or a page of it anyway,)
◊ in all it's, ahem, 'glory'.
SO
I had a thought
You know the scene that basically made girls fall in love with Loki? The one where Loki finds out he's a frost giant, loses his shit at Odin, Odin basically has a stroke and Loki collapses into tears because that's still his dad?
Here it is a decade earlier.
Which version do you think did the scene better?
My various fanfics. That is a splendid scene, and much better acted than anything in either of the Thor films.
But the scene in Thor you mentioned isn't the one that made me care about Loki's character. I liked him for "And you were killed by the son of Odin!" I didn't know what his intentions were up until that moment, whether he was traitor or not, which made it even better.

I watched Avengers -> Thor 1 -> Thor 2 in that order so I was already spoiled on Loki's turn, but the part where he was yelling at Odin struck me as petulant and wasn't what made me like him. What did was the early bits where he was hanging out with Thor and the Warriors Three, and that one deleted scene of him and Thor being brotherly which I thought was rather sweet.
His Villainous Breakdown at the end of the first movie is what endeared Loki to me. He's hardly the first villain of his kind, but every era needs its iconic sympathetic movie villain.
For awhile there we were stuck with Anakin. I'd say Loki's a step up from that.
"A king has no friends. Only subjects and enemies.""Thanks for saying what I have always meant to say about the Black Widow and Hulk thing but never found the words to"
Add my thanks to it since pretty much say everything I want to....but better
"If Black Widow were to mount an Ultron head onto her motorcycle as some kind of Barbarian trophy I would applaud."
it is bad to imagine her taking stuff from their fallen enemies just because? I will be something like that
Thor: that is my brother helmet Natasha: no, it is my now, my right of victory Thor:....suuuuuure, whatever you said...men, midgard be crazy
"Spider-Man, who causes permanent death to everyone he loves, is an outlier adn should not have been counted."
And don forget the Ants, who aparenly have a habit of beating their love ones....
- Beat*
.....What? someone have to said it!
"f anyone from the comic book movie franchises holds that position, it's Magneto."
Depending, he seen to moves between villian and misguied guy every now and them, is quite hard to tell a this point
Anyway, Im seeing some the delated scene in the movies and well, a few of them are intersting:

I thing this one was meant to introduce us to Thor and loki as a whole: the former rather spoiled(caring about the wine before the men) and the rather in his trickser persona rather than the bookworm look and they fondess for each other but overall it looks like filler

Now THIS escene is awsome, it show the true acting skill of hiddenston in the moment he take the throne, now the conversation between loki and her mother seen deep but....I dont know, it seen she rather defends Odin decision about not telling the true about a very grish decision, what did you think?
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"I get what you're saying, Magneto's not necessarily a villain at all.
He's definitely better than Loki. Loki tried to take over the world solely out of ego. Whether or not you like Magento, he has reasons for his actions, and those reasons revolve around protecting his people.

Sure, but Shaw really, really, really had it coming (and had the ability to set off a nuclear war). In a Marvel movie, where it's normal for heroes to kill their villains, Magneto's actions during X Men First Class wouldn't even have been treated as problematic.
