Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Actually, if I am not mistaken it was Stark who provided the samples from Thor's DNA used to make the clone. Of course, since this is not his field, he didn't contribute much to the process itself, but he was fully on board with the plan.
Do you mean "of course he is" by Black Dude Dies First or the name? Because by then he just called himself Giant-Man, and there was an amusing conversation with the Thing
◊ which convinced him to change it.
I'm getting the feeling we're going to get a Operation Galactic Storm movie in Phase 4 or 5.

You know, despite Bruce and Betty having good chemistry, I didn't mind the ship tease between Banner and Black Widow.
Honestly, by this point I'm rather tired of the superhero x normal love interest thing. It's just so boring and unremarkable, aside from Pepper who's attempts to keep Tony more grounded make their relationship work, I much rather see relationships between the supers.
x2 Those aren't really relevant, considering Black Adam isn't from ancient Egypt. He's from the Egypt that still exists in the real world, and isn't some mystical historical place where no one lives anymore.
So yeah, he should definitely be black.

Also Luke Cage's only code name was "Power Man" to my knowledge.
On the subject, I will say that Black Panther gets a pass in my book since Black Panthers are an actual type of Panther and his costume/weapons are clearly themed around that, plus the pitch black outfit has practical benefits for stealth missions. If his costume evoked a different type of Panther, then it would of been problematic to say the least.
