Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Off the top of my head: Danielle Moonstar, Cecilia Reyes, Forge, Karma, Elixir, Gateway, Sunfire, Silver Samurai, Yukio (Storm's gf), Darwin, Xorn (maybe). For the record I'm not a huge fan of the term POC for the same reason I'm not a fan of the way the term "white" tends to be used, but YMMV.
I'll admit it's a bit broad but, in situations like these, it beats writing out every possible ethnic minority.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies. There's a Marvel character named Sunfire? Does that get confusing during crossovers?
"We're home, Chewie."![]()
They could but I think anything they do would wind up being close enough to the Inhumans that there isn't much point in keeping them separate groups. There's just no way to explain why things like the Hulk and the Avengers were so shocking to the world if you've had people with powers running around fighting each other for decades.
Edit: I thought Storm was married to T'Chala.

"Inhumans" is a way cooler name than "mutants" anyway.
EDIT: Wait, I just noticed that Wikipedia doesn't list the upcoming Fantastic Four movie in this list.
Am I wrong in assuming it's part of the MCU, or is that just an error on Wikipedia's part?

"We're home, Chewie."I wonder how much longer it will be until they wedge Ghost Rider into the MCU. And if then, what it'll be as, a movie or a Netflix show?
Netflix show might be the safer route since Nic Cage had to have the audacity to have 2 movies with the guy...both of which turned out less than spectacular.

Kurt's blue. Since when has blue not been a color?
