Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

As the likelihood of an Incredible Hulk 2 is currently hovering somewhere in the vicinity of "Power Pack movie" and "Wolverine joins the Avengers," I'm gonna say they should totally do a Leader episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., because that plot point will never be followed through in the films.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.- COULSON: Good work catching the Leader, team. Any other loose ends need to be tied up?
- MAY: None that I can think of. We defeated the Leader, caught Snowflake, discovered the secret history of Howard Stark and Anton Vanko, and apprehended the True Mandarin; turns out he was also a pompous English actor posing as a front for Hydra all along, but then he was assassinated by agents for a pompous English actor posing for The Hand. It's turtles all the way down.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Allegedly that's the holdup with Namor as well.
The problem with Hulk is that he's also incredibly expensive to animate. That's why he doesn't get much screentime in The Avengers.
Anyway, I like to imagine that Trevor Slattery is the REAL real Mandarin. He hid his true identity by being a front for himself all along.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! The other major problem is that people really like Ruffalo's portrayal of Banner and that an unrestrained Hulk is actually a rather boring character.
Someone once wrote that the Avengers was finally the movie to get Hulk "right" because the audience doesn't want to see Banner whining and crying about how much he hates the Hulk and wants to get rid of it, they want to see the Hulk running around and punching shit. The problem is, while that works in short spurts, chances are that's going to get tedious after a while.
He works so well in Avengers because he only appears twice and for most of the rest of the movie, the slack is picked up by Banner or the other heroes.
He works because in The Avengers, Bruce isn't exactly whining. He is more cautious and preoccupied with keeping himself under control, as well as understandably worried that Shield will break the promise to let him go. Plus, he is allowed to act as a scientist for a change. Usually he is only allowed to do that in movies when he is searching for a cure for himself, and even then the science aspect is very toned down.
That was one of my main peeves about The Incredible Hulk...supposedly Bruce and Betty are the experts, but no, they have to go to a third person for a cure and Betty doesn't even use all the data she rescued to look for a solution herself and instead waits for Bruce to turn up again.

That might explain that Missing Trailer Scene of Groot turning on Peter's radio.

They should totally do a Hulk movie about the Leader.
