Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

He's every precocious brat stereotype, somehow made endearing instead. I like that kid.

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectI actually figured she would be another daughter. The conflict between the two would be that Drax obsessive revenge drew him away from the family he had left. Although, I don't see why they couldn't pull the "she survived and is now with your enemy" card.
If I were a writer and had to pick a character for the team, I would go for Phyla-Vell, simply because her abilities as the most interesting of the bunch. Fighting skills are too basic, and telepathy is an ability with causes a lot of writing problems because it is hard to set distinctive boundaries for it. But the ability to absorb energy and throw it at the enemies? That's something none of the current Guardians can do and would look great on screen.
A power she shares with Carol Danvers who got it probably because Phyla's father was present at the moment when Carol became half Kree and got her powers. Phyla likes making weapons and stabbing things with them.

Heather cares for her father(hell, she's the one who got his brain fixed after he was revived with a faulty brain due to Krono's not caring about fixing the damage Moondragon caused before Drax's death)but whenever she tries to reconnect with him he pushes her away. I think there is a quote from Infinity Watch somewhere on the wikia which pretty much says that despite everything that has happened to her father she still loves him.
Edit: I think I found it:

I don't really know about the characters, but it would be great to introduce both Phyla and Moondragon- I can imagine having Drax reunited with his daughter and her talking about a (possibly romantic) friend who saved her, and Drax would not be pleased when he met Phyla- not because of the lesbian relationship, but because Phylla is a Kree.

Uh?
Also, I'm super sympathetic to Jaws. The movie has made people kill sharks quite a bit.

Forever liveblogging the AvengersGuy has his name in the title, is the physical antagonist, is a hunter, has scary theme music whenever they show up
, isn't really self-aware of their actions (he's brainwashed, and Jaws is just an animal), and isn't in the movie all that much despite the title billing.
It was mostly this specific moment where he just pops up with the scary scream theme
, and the scene in general that gave me a Jaws vibe.
I have been thinking about the "will anyone die" question again...and I have come to believe that while it might happen, I think the actually big upset will be that the Avengers will fail on some level. Oh, they will defeat Ultron, but not before innocent people died, making this the big event which leads to civil war.

Maybe it's to not confuse the ones who skip movies?
