Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

"Hulk and Gamora, Leader and Hulklings
These are some of my favorite things~"
It's technically still canon, but The Avengers and Winter Soldier went out of their way to emphasize that Hulking out is indeed an emotional trigger response and not a heartbeat one as The Incredible Hulk claimed. Fury mentioning that a drug to forcibly reduce heart rate didn't work for Banner sounds pretty close to a retcon, while the Norton one showed it being controlled temporarily by medicine.

She has dumped him so she can have a surprise return role in Hulk: Seeing Red
It will be the fourth movie, counting Incredible in continuity and will air after Hulk: Planet Hulk:: Planet of the Hulks and Hulk: Ain't Easy Being Green.

I see what you did there Agents of SHIELD.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Everybody wanted to hook up with the Scarlet Witch as I recall.
Even a guy that had never met her. And then his brain patterns made a robot want to hook up with her.

The dangers of The Smurfette Principle.
When they finally did have another woman join the Avengers (Mantis), she immediately became Scarlet Witch's rival and tried to sabotage her chances with Vision.
