Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Speaking of Spidey, apparently Norman Bates is up for being the Web-Crawler
.
EDIT: Evidently, we don't have a page for Freddie Highmore. Weird.

...wait, isn't Anthony Perkins dead?
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies. They could throw us all for a loop and call it Supaidaman.

Seriously though, the edit button isn't that hard to find. It's the pencil button on top of your post.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Even by the end of the movie she welcomes him when he shows up to help fight the Chitauri.
She was visibly terrified of him even before she met him, when she was given the instruction to retrieve him for S.H.I.E.L.D. Facing that fear and seeing it realized was the climax of that plot point, and her nod to him that, "We could use a little worse," in the film's climax was its resolution.
YMMV on whether or not it could have been done better - personally, I think it could have, as she never really faced her fear of the Hulk; he beat the shit out of her, and then Thor saved her and that was that, which should validate her fears more than help her get past them - but that was a plot point in the first Avengers.
Seems odd to me too that she's suddenly dating him.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.I dunno. It introduces an interesting element where she loves the man but is afraid of the monster inside of him.
Also maybe they don't start dating until later. Could just be a lot of sexual tension in this movie.
-sits down with the media surrouding him.-
I got you in all this room today to make an announcement.
I am SPIDER-MAN!!!!
Also the HULK!!!
And on my off-days, I'm the Black Widow too.
