Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Not reacting negatively, per se. I just tend to identify with the people in the cars in those kind of sequences. That bit in the first Amazing Spider-Man where he has to pull the kid out of that car? That was incredibly tense for me, because all I could see when watching that was my own kids.
Also, Whedon is not above throwing in cheap drama if he thinks he can hurt the audience (see: Wash). For most people it's probably just annoying, but for me with my aforementioned issues it...doesn't feel good.
"Cheap Drama and Snark" could be the subtitle of every Joss Whedon TV project. "Starring Nathan Fillion."

Well, in the first movie they broke the circle, not so much in this one.
And let's wait and see.

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectIf I had to guess it'll probably be a inversion of the first movie's circle showdown. In that instead of breaking up and dividing to kick ass, they'll get swarmed and huddled into a corner until they are overwhelmed.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Iron Man's just like "the rest of you need a running start? That's adorable."
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Well, Steve has a motorcycle, so he has a motorcycle start.
And technically, BW and Hawkeye were in a jeep thing, so just Thor then.

You certainly shouldn't try to stop him nowokayi'mdone.
It's weird, because those are clearly just human soldiers. Thor gonna kill someone doing that.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectThor doesan't care because he doesn't get nice, he gets ''Norse''
!
Regarding that marathon: I'd soooo be up for that if it were anywhere near me. Without looking at a map, looks like it's a crap shot of which of the non-Anaheim showings is closest to me.
Assholes.
Well if they have good people in their ranks then...tough shit, son, you chose to join a paramilitary terrorist fascist organization, you knew the risks.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Cracked did a funny article talking about how Thor had absolutely no way of knowing his hammer strike wouldn't kill Cap in the first movie, which makes the whole thing seem like Disproportionate Retribution. All Cap does is ask him to calm down and Thor comes out swinging.

And yeah, I did think Steve was riding Tony for a second.
I know what I said.
