Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

See, it's moments like these that make me wish that Hollywood was willing to be a little less serious.
They tried being that less serious. It was called Theodore Rex.

@Geth: Rey Misterio would get me hyped.
Also, oh hey, I'm just now recalling your avatar! What was your old username? It wasn't the same one, was it?
x12 Wasn't the Sinister Six movie supposed to have the Six as Villain Protagonists anyways?
I just realized the Venom symbiote could be retconned as having been brought to Earth by hitching a ride with the Chitauri. Though that might be a bit too much use of the same idea at that point.
Anyway, though there's no chance of it happening in Season 1, it might be cool if Spidey made sporadic appearances in the second season of Daredevil onward.
Kind of a flip on how Daredevil was a recurring character in the old Spider-Man show - it'd be interesting to see Spider-Man's story from the perspective of an outsider, as a guest character for once rather than always being the focus.
Since I am still convinced that "Captain America: Civil War" won't cover the whole Civil war but just start the conflict, I wonder if "Spider-man in Universe" will end up showing the impact the whole Civil war thing has on the normal street level superhero and if the whole "remove you mask" thing will be adapted in it.
In fact, Civil war could have an impact on every single one of the TV-Shows, too, save for Agent Carter, naturally.

Interesting.
And again, it's kind of amazing how the Russos went from 'Successful, but not particularly well-known TV directors' to 'Holy shit, let them direct Avengers 3' in just a few years.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectIt helps that Captain America had to be one of the best debut films I've ever seen.
Marvel wants people to hashtag things with #AvengersAssemble
to unlock the trailer early!

The Superior Foes would work as the stars of their own films but aren't very good antagonists. The whole joke is that they're a bunch of lame, Z-list villains who are trying to cash in on the brand of a much more successful team of baddies.
