Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

And then Hawkeye got pissy and thought the Avengers were trying to replace him with Daredevil, so he ran away to the top of the Golden Age Bridge.

That's literally a Disney Channel Kid Com plot and I love it.
"A king has no friends. Only subjects and enemies."Why exactly do all the interesting discussions happen when I am asleep?
Back to the james Gunn thing: Since I don't know the first draft, I have no idea how much who contributed to it. But the person who came up with the Walkman is the one who deserves the most credit in my book, because that was basically the idea which set the movie apart.
I also don't think that Gamora was marginalized in Got G. There were exactly three big storylines in the movie, one which got concluded and two which got set-up. The one which got concluded is naturally the "five misfits come together as rescue the Galaxy" plot. But the other two were Peter's father and Gamora's relationship with Thanos and especially Nebula.
James Gunn has said multiple times that he wants at least one other female in the team and he brought us the first female MCU movie villain. Unless the second movie of Got G marginalises Gamora and Nebula, I don't see a reason to give him a hard time.
And I am not particularly invested in Natasha's love live, but if I would ship her with anyone, it would be Falcon.

Tim Gunn's Got G would be a very interesting movie.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectGranted, they basically have just one scene where they speak to only each other and that's right at the start of the movie.

Well, if I was Black Widow and the laws of office romance meant I had to date one of the other five founding avengers; I'd go for Bruce, as strange as it sounds; he is by far the most emotionally mature of the bunch. (Even with his anger issues, at least he appreciates, is concious of, and manages his anger issues)
Outside of that, Falcon and or War Machine would be better choices.

In the comics, Hawkeye and Natasha kept being the ship that passed in the night. Something kept interfering with their attempts to get together. So many near misses.
She starts dating Daredevil at one point actually and Clint shows up and beats up Daredevil to try to win her over. Surprisingly, that doesn't work.
Forever liveblogging the Avengers
