Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Come on, Frank Miller Daredevil practically invented "grim and gritty Vigilante Man." Let's not let this show fall victim to "Seinfeld" Is Unfunny.

I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon.
Sure. But that is what Daredevil is most famous for. Daredevil is the grim and gritty Marvel super hero (not counting Punisher as he is not quite a "hero"). Maybe you should argue they shouldn't be doing Daredevil, but since they are, they should stay true to what the character is famous for.
Also, Marvel haven't done any grim and grittier super hero, have they? Daredevil is their experiment on the subject. It will nice to see how it compares to DC movies.
Apparently Lego Punisher is an environmentalist.
... It says Lego Marvel Heroes but how much of a hero can I be if I keep smashing public property and committing vehicular assault
Forever liveblogging the Avengers![]()
In a world where objects and people can be effortlessly reassembled, property damage and murder are, like, a misdemeanor at most.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.@Tobias and Bocaj, Oh yeah, his missions in the game have involved you stopping punks from driving around big noise cars because he doesn't like the pollution they're putting out.
I love the LEGO games. After I played LEGO Lord of the Rings and LEGO Marvel Superheroes I may never leave LEGO games. Ever.
The Blog The ArtI started playing Marvel Heroes recently. It was on sale or something probably.
This is only loosely on topic since Marvel Heroes draws from the MCU.

Forever liveblogging the AvengersI fought Venom by building a boom box out of lego bricks.
Underwear Iron Man is an unlockable character.
My god, it is amazing.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersAlso, Stan Lee camoes once per level and a bunch of extra times in the hub world (and Lego Batman 3 uses Adam West instead, which was pretty clever of them).
I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon.I am desirous of marvelous jerk Hawkeye plzthx
We're not going to get Namor, at least give me this.
Forever liveblogging the Avengers
I was going to respond to this with a panel from the latest Hawkeye issue(because the book usually has some funny jokes about/from Clint/Kate)but this wasn't a good issue for picture grabbing what with the dark mood, blood and Clint's brother Barney seemingly dying. Now I feel too down to go look in the other issues.

I mean yes the guy is a costumed vigilante, but he's also a very principled attorney- the character shouldn't be all about beating or killing criminals- he's not the Punisher.
