Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Peggy never dumped him so not sure what you're remembering. I mean I'm not even sure they were actually together in any sense of the word until closer to the end.
And what Kostya said, Steve would probably have to take a lot of alcohol or the really powerful stuff to get properly drunk.
The Blog The ArtIt's something to do with the speed of his metabolism, the alcohol just burns right through.
My various fanfics.Yeah, the Army lady that kisses Cap in First Avenger is Natalie Dormer.
I honestly wish she'd show up again in Agent Carter, but that's just me.

Yeah, it was Natalie Dormer. Couldn't unsee it after watching Game of Thrones, because I wish Margaery could by that upfront with me.
Anyway, when Bucky "dies", Cap tries to drink away his problems, but he's finding he can't get drunk. Peggy informs him that Dr. Erskine had suspected that that would be a side effect of the serum, the inability to pile up on toxins.
"Erskine" is in my computer's dictionary. wtf?
Captain America films seem to film the niche of "Avengers films that we can't call Avengers films because of someghing or other".
TFA set up the main plot of Avengers, and was connected to the other films quite strongly (Howard Stark, the Tesseract being Asgardian, "the Other Guy" being an attempt to remake the Super Soldier Serum).
TWS sets up the main plot of Avengers, and is connected to the other films quite strongly (SHIELD, Nick Fury, Black Widow, Starktech in the Helicarriers).
The writers are hinting at Civil War having a possible connection to Agent Carter
, particularly Tony having some sort of past with Peggy.
I wonder given her closeness to Howard and Jarvis if Tony knew her as "Aunt Peggy" or something as a child.
If Civil war would be called Avengers, we would expect that all avengers would be present and get more or less equal screentime (with the exception of Hawkeye because he always gets the short stick). Since it is called Civil war I don't expect them all to turn up, and I expect the main focus on Cap.
