Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

It's an old idea, but I still love the idea of Silverclaw
getting her own movie/show. She's the daughter of a Central American volcano goddess, Peliali, and was raised in a church orphanage sponsored by the Avenger's Jarvis (which could be Vision in the MCU). When she grew up, she took a plane to the USA to attend University, but the plane was hijacked by terrorists and she fought them, and when the Avengers showed up, there was a misunderstanding and she fought them for a bit before they teamed up to take down the terrorists.
Later, she returned to her home country with the Avengers to find an evil sorcerer sacrificing Peliali to some dark nether realm gods to gain ultimate power. Silverclaw can't beat him herself, but she gets the villagers to worship Peliali, making the goddess stronger until she can break free. The sorcerer deals Peliali a mortal blow, but his dark gods, angered that he didn't have a sacrifice, took his soul instead.
That sounds like a movie/tv show to me. Maybe cut out the Avengers from some scenes and focus it mainly on Silverclaw. My only concern is that it sounds quite a bit like Moon Knight.

Well, Vision's a bit dead/white/finding himself at the moment, so it might have to be somebody else.
I wonder when we'll find out what's up with White Vision.
You can do all three of the Ayalas and combine the White Tigers and the Sons of the Tiger.
Have Hector, Ava and Angela wear the the three pieces of the Tiger amulet the same way the Sons of the Tiger did.

“ She got a lot of use from Al Ewing actually.
She's also one of the only characters from Avengers Academy that joined an Avengers team(Mighty Avengers and New Avengers).”
Oh I meant specifically in the avengers academy book which was already over stuffed with stuff when she was brought in
Forever liveblogging the Avengers
×2
I said the Ayalas. I don't think Hector, Ava or Angela have ever met Kasper and Kasper is more of a Black Panther character anyway.
Ah, that makes sense. A lot of the extra students ended up in the background. Only Ava and Laura got any focus, but not as much as the central cast.

Now that I think of it, Kasper Cole could be a good long-term way of solving the Letitia Wright problem: establish him as a Tiger and maybe change his origin to have him be of long-lost Wakandan royal blood, and have Shuri (assuming she becomes the new Panther) willingly give up her post to him because she sees him as more worthy and able to be a better Panther. I supposed the Tiger God (probably Baihu/Byakko) could also be introduced as a rival of Bast.
This can only mean one thing. Uncle Ben is Mephisto.
Joking aside, he was mentioned in the zombies episode of What If...?.
"I'm Mr. Blue, woah-woah-ooh..."
X2: Wayne just explicitly mentioned What If...?, which was also forbade from adapting or creating characters that weren't already mentioned or hinted in the MCU. Considering the prior allusions in the main Spidey films, it's safe to say he did to allow that.

The Exact Words of Odin's enchantment were that whoever picks up the hammer, if they be worthy, shall have the power of Thor.
If the hammer didn't grant someone Thor's strength, then Cap hitting Thanos with it wouldn't have accomplished much. It'd just be Cap hitting him with a large hammer. Remember, it took Steve both hands and all his might just to pry apart Thanos's fingers.

A very well balanced hammer though.
What was interesting was unlike Vision, Cap made use of Thor's lightning as well. Vision did just it as a Hammer.
Vision worthy: yay or nay?
My long-held theory is that, when judging people's worthiness, the hammer considers "of common birth" to be a mark against them. Hence why people arguably worthier than Thor can't pick it up, because they're not of royal blood (unless their other qualities are so extremely worthy, it makes up the difference, like with Steve).
Vision, being an android, is of no birth, neither noble nor common, so he gets to skip that part of the worthiness assessment.
Then again, Vision didn't really need lightning, since he could shoot mind laser from his stone.
I assure you, I'm perfectly trustable personAs far as we know Jane isn’t of noble birth, unless the hammer counts “was a Queen in a galaxy far far away”.

She got a lot of use from Al Ewing actually.
She's also one of the only characters from Avengers Academy that joined an Avengers team(Mighty Avengers and New Avengers).
Ava is also the White Tiger that keeps popping up,even the voices anthology books and she was part of the Daughter's of Liberty.
At this point she has had more appearances than her niece Angela Del Toro.
