Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Far From Home says directly in its opening scene that 8 months have passed since they Blipped back, and since that scene happened at the end of the American school year, ie. in June, that means they Blipped back in October.
I can't recall any direct citation on what year Hawkeye takes place, but eh, I think it's more likely that there was just some confusion over how direct a followup to NWH MoM is meant to be.
First Christmas after the blip also makes most sense for Hawkeye's story as well.
I think just 'no Mo M doesn't take place before Hawkeye' is the best answer here.
I remember hearing a rumor that Korvac was going to appear but dismissed it at the time, due to the main villain being said to be a female, but it wouldn't be the first time in the MCU that characters have been gender-swapped. Still, he does sound like the perfect villain, able to absorb cosmic energy which Carol use as her powers would make a hard foe to fight.
Sincerely S Awatching.First Christmas after the blip would make sense for Hawkeye, if they didn't have the characters discuss their family Christmas that took place the year prior (which Clint was unable to attend I believe, part of why this Christmas is so important is because something unspecified prevented him from attending their one the year prior. And that can't be a Christmas prior to the blip becaus Clint spent that Christmas ndrr house arrest)
That's not true. According to the MCU wiki
and other sources, No Way Home primarily takes place in November of 2024, shortly before Hawkeye begins.
We get two clues in NWH that its late fall, Halloween directions in the cafe (where MJ's boss tells her to take them down since they are past Halloween) and the shot of the Rockerfeller Christmas Tree lit up in the final shots of Peter as Spiderman. The tree goes up around Thanksgiving IIRC. And we know in story that Hawkeye occurs shortly before Christmas.
In regards to guys like Korvac, I can imagine Thanos' crusade has lead to a superhuman arms race that can be used to justify bringing in higher tier powered characters.
The Nova Corps could be convinced to unleash the Nova Force.
The Shi'ar are intrdouced having avoided the worst of the devstation cause they had Gladiator and the Imperial Guard.
The Skrulls could be galvanized into reforming the Skrull Empire and engaging in the Super-Skrull experiments.
And the Kree could further their superweapon experiments leading to the creation of Korvac and Vox to replicate their own Captain Marvel.
Which now that I think about it, I just now thought of a good reason to bring in the rest of the Mar-Vell family.
Maybe Mar-Vell has family on Hala or another world, and the Empire abducted them, torturing and experimenting on them as punishment for Mar-Vell's crimes against the empire. Leading to say Genis-Vell appearing as her nephew as the new Kree superweapon, their own Captain Marvel as a twisted cruel irony against Carol and her mentor.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."That happens all the time in the comics
The secret is: recruit and train more

All we know is that their planet was destroyed; we don’t know if any escaped.
In the comic lore wasn't what triggered a cosmic superpower arms race was the discovery of humanity huge genetic potential for a mass population of superhuman.
Sincerely S Awatching.Guardians of the Universe: The ring chose you, you're a space cop now.
Hal Jordan: Sweet, cops on my planet get paid good money!
Guardians of the Universe: What the hell is money?
Hal Jordan: ...Do I at least get vacation days?
Nova get paid in getting a sweet hat
But in fairness after being wiped out for the umpteenth time they are having trouble building back up, especially since they don’t have a lot of working super helmets left
Forever liveblogging the AvengersAnd unlike Tony “To Boldly Go” Stark, he didn’t limp away from an underwhelmed Gamora with a bruised pelvis

eta: as to the MCU Nova Corps. Well we don't see them in Endgame so I assume they're dead. Thor just said Xandar was decimated. Which technically means 90% of them would be left.
But I guess Thanos wiped out the Corp before doing his 50% cull of the survivors.

They repeate the end of the academic year, not the whole of it. The blip happened in early summer 2018, and then unhappenes in early spring 2023 I believe.
