Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

If Corvus did resurrect out of his glaive we wouldn’t know it
But I don’t now if magic glaive can overcome infinity fueled “you stop existing now kthx”
Forever liveblogging the AvengersCalling Corvus an "Elite Mook" sounds too generous.
He would be closer to being a Fake Ultimate Mook, since a group of Street level heroes beat him easily.

The Black Order are pretty powerful in Infinity War. They got taken down, but it was always through teamwork or being outsmarted or (mostly) environmental kills. None of the heroes had any chance against any of them in a 1v1. They got nerfed pretty hard in Endgame, but also keep in mind that everyone except Cull Obsidian IIRC was alive to get dusted at the end.
regulation pigeonEveryone got nerfed in the MCU
Carol got buffed relative to others but still isn’t as wild as her wildest comic self
Forever liveblogging the AvengersThe comics keep adding random new shit to Hulk's character every other week. Meanwhile, MCU Banner keeps permanently merging with the Hulk but then unmerging because Hulk got tuckered out
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.![]()

Corvus Glaive also got fatally speared by Okoye during the Girl Power Rush, and Proxima Midnight is seen cradling his corpse during the big dusting.
I guess he could have technically still been alive and bleeding out at that point, but he was taken out of the battle at the very least; Ebony Maw and Proxima Midnight are the only two who suffered no visible injuries other than being snapped away at the end.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! The Hulk is a character designed to break bases. Every writer has a wildly different interpretation of him all of which are mutually canon so there are like 87 different versions of him now, which usually just turn into Hulk personas like Worldbreaker, Savage Hulk, or Joe Fixit.
This is a fact that the MCU has done a pretty good job of replicating. He's basically a completely different character in every MCU film. By Endgame, they stopped even bothering to try and explain the shifts.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Though of actual Hulk personalities, only Savage and Professor have shown up in the MCU. Others like Joe Fixit, Green Scar, and Immortal/Devil Hulk are complete no-shows so far.
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonIt's kinda a worst of both worlds.
The inner conflict between Banner and any of the Hulk personalities is downplayed, currently nonexistant, so the psychological conflict between the character is gone.
Meanwhile Hulk got his ass kicked, never fought again after Thanos, and is weaker than ever, meaning the people who want to see Hulk Smash are gonna be dissatisfied.
Meaning there's nothing to really like about or be interested in the character anymore.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Recently saw a Hulk fan Twitter page begrudgingly realize that the MCU could absolutely handle Bruce's alternate Hulks...
It's just called Moon Knight (2022).

The "talking through mirrors" tidbit is itself more of a Hulk thing, even in the comics.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."

My assumption before the films was that the Black Order were going to be the main villains during Infinity War then Thanos would take the center stage in the following film. Instead he was pretty central in the first then nearly absent for half the second.
