Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

And like, he at least had a good reason to hate a Stark.
Howard did apparently try to steal his research. I think.
Like, Howard doesn't deny it at all, and makes no attempt to defend himself, but it's entirely possible that he had nothing to do with the attempted theft, and only that one dude (who we later see is part of Hydra) was involved.
As for why he wouldn't try to defend himself, I rationalize it as Howard just being bad at that kind of thing, along with Hank probably being so convinced he was involved that nothing would change his mind.
That, or my Howard knew about the Hydra infiltration theory and deliberately acted like he did to make Hank leave so his research would be out of Hydra's hands but considering how often these kind of situations are exactly what they look like, I doubt it.
One Strip! One Strip! In fairness no one likes Hank either.
Its very much a case of pot calling the kettle black as we've seen that barring Janet, Hank has managed to make everyone who he's ever worked with despise him.
Hank thinking he's the good guy stems mostly from his own massive ego.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."The only ones who don't hate him (or didn't hate him at some point) are Janet (who was trapped in another dimension) and Scott (who's just too nice a guy to hate anyone clearly).
I actually look forward to when Hank does something that pisses off Scott. Like, he says or does something that results in Scott just punching him right in his stupid Hank face.
Because if that's not a sign that you've crossed a line, then nothing would be.
One Strip! One Strip!Or Cassie being like "I don't give a fuck what my dad did for you or what arrangement the three of you had, and you can eat a dick" and not even entertaining him when he tries to pull the same shit with her or is generally just an abusive, exploitative asshole to her like he was to Scott.

I'm still not on board with Gorr having a nose but this trailer does try to show some more interesting angles with him (like the monochromatic contrast).
"All you Fascists bound to lose."
x3 Can we even call it an MCU film without a Shirtless Scene, I ask you?
Anyway, looks fun. I agree Gorr's look works. I was wondering how they were going to differentiate him from Hela since she took some of his combat and visual cues.

Voice actor SungWon Cho AKA Pro ZD reveals he was almost in the MCU. Specifically, he was a finalist for the New Warriors tv show, but he didn’t get the part and then the show was cancelled.
I wonder if the casting directors watched his Marvel skits.

Hey Thor!
Just be glad that:
1) He only limits his grudge to Stark;
and 2) That he never lost Hope (in both senses of the word) as well.
Cause we've seen that universe. It's not good.
One Strip! One Strip!
