Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Whether or not they’re hypocrites is dependent on the myths (and interpretation) you’re looking at, but I wouldn’t say Zeus is more deserving than Ares. Which just reinforces how screwed up the pantheon is.

Reportedly, he'll be doing that in Multiverse of Madness instead of this one.
Hey, is Team Thor considered an "alternate timeline" like the ones in What If? I've noticed that the Thor of that miniseries is listed as a variant on his character page, and that he comes from "Earth-16828". It seems that all the other alternate timelines in What If have Earth-number filings as well.
"I'm Mr. Blue, woah-woah-ooh..."Among all the returning elements in Multiverse of Madness, probably no one was expecting this
.
That's right, it's pizza time.
I don't actually think the Raimiverse will appear in this movie, premise/director combination aside, because it wouldn't be as impactful given we just saw these characters again.
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonIt should be noted that Joe's Pizza is a real life location
.
What is kinda amusing here is that in Spider-Man 2 they changed the address to reference the street where the Sanctum Santorum is located
. The fact that they remembered about this connection is quite the deep cut.

I'm thinking about it, would Marvel be able to do an X-Force movie?
Like thats among the most darker affairs being about a team of black-ops superheroes fully willing to kill and get their hands dirty.
A famous case being Uncanny X-Force which involves Fantomex shooting a child dead (which he does revive later granted) which really fucked up everyone on the team, with Deadpool being completely disgusted by the entire situation.
And the current run the Krakoan era is about a Mutant CIA force and features Beast basically taking over an entire country as a Machiavellian mastermind.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."They did say they're now more willing to do R-rated stuff. They're doing Deadpool with an R, possibly Blade, they added the MA shows to D+, and Moon Knight and Multiverse of Madness seem to be plenty dark even with a PG-13/TV-14.

Maybe a proper Weapon X/Wolverine origin film too, or some of the darker X-Men storylines. Age of Apocalypse would work great depending on how long Kang takes to resolve - perhaps Holocaust, Dark Beast, and/or Sugar Man would come to the native MCU timeline to chase down Cable, Bishop, or Rachel Summers.

Or the merch can just be misinformed, as is what sometimes happens.
