Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

I want to get in on this conversation, but I keep wanting to make a joke about Toni getting her own train.
And like, wrestling fans will get it, and then immediately (and rightly) want to see me dragged out into the street and shot.
But getting serious, Toni being a niece of Yinsen would work. Ooh. Maybe reveal that a relative of Yinsen was in Gulmira when Tony made his debut and named her in the late Iron Man's honour.
Bonus points if they have no clue Tony even knew Yinsen.
One Strip! One Strip!<looks up Toni Ho>
Huh. So she's like the Token Heroic Orc to A.I.M? The Chris Redfield to A.I.M.'s New Umbrella? That's interesting.
There's a bunch of "the young generation related to classic Iron Man characters" characters that I'm a bit surprised haven't made it into the MCU yet. Zeke Stane, Sasha Hammer, etc. Back when Agents of SHIELD was current I was sure they would be adapted there, but it'd also be interested now to see them in something like Ironheart - for instance.
I really wanted Justine Hammer (Sasha's mother) to show up for a while, also. It'd be an interesting way to add a bit of mystery about culprits and such if they adapt the Masters of Evil.

She had an interesting arc in US Avengers where she is a pacifist who doesn't make weapons but she's modsing her Iron Patriot suit (which is a mini-mecha for her) with so much offensive shit she's basically weapnizng it.
Her girlfriend calling her out on it was a huge eye-opener for it especially how she tends to emphasize a lot that she isn't like Tony Stark.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Y'know, I do remember reading something about Lexi Rabe being harassed by fans a while back, but I honestly have zero idea what it was about. I think she was pretty good in Endgame.
I can understand the general disdain for Gwyneth Paltrow though. She is kind of weird and gross.
"I'm Mr. Blue, woah-woah-ooh..."Huh so we got a toy leak for Thor Love and Thunder
Provides some potential first looks at the characters.
Not a fan of Gorr's apparent priest look.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."So with the Netflix-verse now canon, what plots do you want to see post-Blip? I know that Bernthal wanted Barracuda in Punisher, and this is actually a perfect time to introduce him. The idea is that Fisk, desperate to restore his former glory and giving very few fucks about how he does it, hires Barracuda as an enforcer to deal with both the Hand and other gangs and crime lords, only to have him get way out of hand and create a potentially city-destabilizing threat. You'd obviously have to tone down some of his depravity, but a Joker/Goblin-esque take on him (ultra-violent nihilist and Social Darwinist who is in the mercenary game more out of bloodlust than anything else) would suffice. He'd probably start off as just the Punisher's domain, only for Frank to have to turn to the Defenders for aid because Barracuda is just that dangerous.
Barracuda is a notoriously dicey character racially speaking, so maybe they could start more calmly with a take on Jigsaw that isn't actually dogshit. I'd like that.
I'd like to see Bullseye in proper form after the hook at DD season 3.
