Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

I don't think it's unusual. Just a sign that Marvel's changing up their approach with marketing.
Okey Dokey! With how many projects they've been working on, they probably have to space out the trailers a lot so the hype from one project won't eclipse the other.
We already have Ms. Marvel and Multiverse of Madness coming up, plus Moon Knight is still airing. They'll probably wait until Multiverse of Madness is finally released for them to release a trailer.
I think it'd be neat for Morgan to become a Young Avenger.
Though given that IIRC we're slated to pick up Ironheart, Morgan may be redundant as a character. Oh well.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.In the comics Iron Lad himself wasn’t around long and was replaced by Teen Vision
Who is redundant with Shiny Vision loose in the world in the MCU

Forever liveblogging the Avengers![]()

Iron Lad was still a vital part of the formation of the Young Avengers and you really wouldn't have to tweak his backstory too much. I could see him maybe being introduced in Season 2 of Loki, maybe with Loki or Sylvie personally visiting him to kill him, but instead inspiring him to try and go back in time to see if he can't try and fix his future self's mess.

I'd rather Morgan remain a regular person out of a fan of seeing "Special Parents, Mediocre Children".
Morgan doesn't inherit anything from Tony so there's no super legacy there as a joke to everyone's expectations that Morgan is some sort of super genius like her father.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Speaking of A.I.s, do you think they will give Rodey obe in his show?
Will he inherit Friday, be a new one or just kept going without one to distinguish him from Tony?

It'd be really funny if the Karen AI became Jocasta given who voices her.
I think having the Thor 4 trailer makes it less pressuring and oversaturated to pressure Marvel fans to watch the next thing that comes out immediately.

The longer the MCU continues to exist, the more likely it is that they're going to composite her with somebody. Tony was basically the protagonist of the MCU, and Morgan has the misfortune of being his offspring. Eventually both writers and fans are going to start thinking "she has to become a hero" in the same way both canons of Star Wars had people think "the next generation of Skywalkers have to have someone who turns to the Dark Side like Vader."
Maybe she'll become the new Rescue, since they barely used the Rescue armor with Pepper. But I'd actually love if she was composited her with someone very unlike Tony (that is, not tech based). Like if she turned out to be a mutant and became the MCU version of Firestar or something.

Eh, I kinda agree with slimcoder in that Morgan should have a regular life. It would kind of be like how Napoleon Bonaparte II is barely even a footnote in the history books compared to Napoleon I or III. I'm not saying that Morgan should be completely forgotten, but I think it would be neat if Morgan would simply be an ordinary citizen who occasionally helps out with something, rather than some kind of Legacy Character.
"I'm Mr. Blue, woah-woah-ooh..."

No idea. We are sitting on only 3 months out from the release and still no sign of the trailer, which is getting unusual.
I'd still expect it before Multiverse of Madness though. Trailers being explicitly attached to movie releases is a thing of the past, but they'll still want the trailer to be available for the MoM preshow.
