Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! I'm editing this OP and pinning it to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.

Kamala is the last surviving Inhuman because Thanos actually killed them all off
Except Lockjaw,he's alive
New theme music also a boxHonestly, I think they won't include any mentions of the Inhumans in Ms. Marvel. Maybe they won't make Kamala a mutant, but I think her origin could be tweaked enough so it's not a part of the Inhuman lore. I gathered that the Inhumans really don't play a huge role in her series, and after their series crashed and burned, I doubt Marvel Studios would want to deal with them for a long time. Plus, they'd have to explain the basics of what the Inhumans actually are for those who haven't watched the previous shows or read the comics. It's probably a lot more pragmatic to change the origin slightly than deal with all that.
I don't think anyone at Marvel Studios considers Netflix, ABC, Hulu, etc. material to be canon. But they do know that those shows have fans.
The impression I get is that there's a little bit of reluctance to actually pull that trigger and fire the first official non-canon bullet. To actually depict a new Luke Cage or have a new Kingpin show up as a villain or do a new Runaways series or something that would say, in no uncertain terms, that the other shows are not canon. It has to happen eventually, but it's going to suck when it finally does 'cause a lot of fans are going to be outraged. No way around that.
Right now, they're floating around plausible deniability. You don't know that it isn't canon. You can't prove that it isn't.
But once that first shot's fired, it's free game. Suddenly all of the material from those shows will be ripe for the plucking.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.I wonder what theyll go with first....
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."A certain family of royals who I refuse to acknowledge exist.
Something big that'll bring in excitement and/or goodwill to counter the sad fanbase maybe. Like IDK a child identified as "Molly Hayes" tests positive for what an offscreen scientist calls the "X-Gene".note
Runaways fans: Are we a joke to you?
Everyone else: OMG OMG MUTANTZ?????
and yes I know they retconned her mutant status for synergy
Yeah, I don't think we're gonna get a new take on Daredevil or Luke Cage any time soon, but they're not gonna expect you to see external media to understand a story. Most of the TV series will go untouched outside of a few minute details.
I'll believe it when MCU!Magneto shows up demanding a DNA sample from Wanda.

Hell, at this point they could probably retcon it so Magneto is Wanda's grandfather.
Or maybe even great-grandfather, given how long it'll take for mutants to appear in the MCU.
“I’m Wanda.”
“Wanda who?”
“Wanda Skywalker.”
It depends. On Wanda's mothers side of the family it turns out she is apart of a long line of witches and Scarlet Witch is a legacy name.
So both parentage provides a lineage for her.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Maybe in the comics, but on the mcu Wanda seems to be an example of Randomly Gifted.
Though really only Black Panther and Hope Pym is apart of some special legacy. Everyone else started on their own for the most part.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Given how much weight Agatha puts on the name Scarlet Witch, I'd say she's closer to Chosen One.

Tony and Thor had arcs about how to deal with their fathers' legacies and sins (or mistakes, whatever works).
Wake me up at your own risk. You guys think we should create a Loki forum already?
The Final NameFor the tv show, sure!
New theme music also a boxSpeaking of Loki, who wants a new teaser?
Current word on the grapevine is that Miss Minutes is being voiced by Tara Strong. I'm awful with this sort of thing especially since Minutes is clearly going all Southern but just as an fyi, have no clue if it's actually true but it's neat if it is.
It definitely sounds like Tara Strong. Specifically, Miss Minutes sounds pretty close to Tara's Harley Quinn, but with a country accent instead of a Brooklyn one.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.
And we'll have to see how Kamala's show incorporates the Inhumans into her origin, if they don't just change it to something else. Honestly, I don't think that many people would be too upset if they did.
