Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! I'm editing this OP and pinning it to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.

Honestly, that feels like the most boring route to take with such an idea.
Not saying that you needed a ton of major heroes to be replaced by Skrulls, but I feel like you could do considerably more with the paranoia angle.
Oh God! Natural light!Well, the Skrulls do manage to convince Tony Stark that he is probably an sleeping Skrull. All they do is point out his constant fuck ups of Civil War and he eats it up. That was a highlight of the event for me.
Ahh, Tony Stark and his fragile, fragile ego. "Oh man, I'm such a fuckup. Had all that psychic warning from touching the dead space whale and I still couldn't stop Grape Ape from using the Clapper to turn all my friend into dust. I probably am a Skrull... Wait, what have I been doing for the past ten years?"
I think that one of the major Avenger needs to get replaced, but after Infinity war. This way all the movies still have the same meaning, but we also get the "damned, I didn't expect him to be it" shock down the line.
I would love it if they would do it like in EMH and replace Cap, complet with a story-line of him breaking out and making it back to earth...but if they don't have him around, well, there is always T'Challa isn't there?
Ross is the last character I’d want to see as a Skrull. His whole deal works because he’s a person who legitimately believes in the flawed crusades he champions. He’s an ideologue and a representative of the dark side of the people’s answer to superheroes, who keeps pushing even in hard times, so the heroes always have to go around him, not through him.
Making him secretly be pushing a hidden society’s secret agenda and saying “oh yeah, that’s why he was in the Avengers’ way” misses the point. It’d be like revealing that the reason J Jonah Jameson smears Spider-Man was actually because Osborn was paying him all along. Marvel Studios made the right call by not lumping him in with the HYDRA reveals, and would ruin that by revealing him to be a Skrull.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Isn't it a thing that Skrulls are basically brainwashed to think they really are the person they're pretending to be? Logically, up until the Skrull sleeper agent "wakes up", they wouldn't act any differently than if they were just the same person all along.
Let's not make the whole thing too complicated.
What about President Ellis? Or whoever is leading the US in MCU now….

DRAGON DRAGONIf Moon Knight were to join the MCU, I'd have assumed he'd be on Netflix. With recent events, I'm not so sure.
I wonder what will happen to the Netflix characters now that Netflix seems to look at letting those shows petering out.
I'm wondering if they’ll get continuations on Disney's streaming service. Last I heard, the Marvel shows on Disney's streaming service are being made by Marvel Studios themselves.
Hey, if it means the Netflix shows stop being depressing (and maybe have Spider-Man fighting the Kingpin later down the line), I’m all for it!
I wouldn't hold my breath for Spiderman in a TV show.
Anyway, I hope the contract is set up in a way that Marvel is free to continue the shows if they chose to. Frankly, I would be very disappointed if they won't use the opportunity to create their own street-level verse.
And I want a proper conclusion for Agent Carter. I would take a small screen screening movie. I just want this conclusion.
I just can't wait for the Power Pack movie.
Was it announced?
Would they be in the same continuity as the movies?

Join the Five-Man Band cleanup project!Various people have said that they're either interested in working on it or actively working on it, so I'm guessing it's still in the beginning stages of pre-production.
Avengers 4 : Avengers avenging 4 ever
New theme music also a boxI hope that it really is called Avengers: Untitled.
Because even if we can't protect the Earth, we'll sure as hell... come up with something... eventually.

This song needs more love.Avengers:
Pronounced “Avengers, Colon”.
Even in the comic storyline, very few heroes had actually been replaced by (living) Skrulls.
The Secret Invasion was really just a ploy to distract the Avengers into inaction and self doubt while a conventional invasion was underway.
