What do you all think of it, and is anyone a part of its Wiki?

I spend some time on the forum, and I'm of two minds about it. It would be better if the people there weren't so rude all the time. There's also an irritating amount of Opinion Myopia at times. But it's probably more intelligent than most of the other versus-thread communities.

Yeah, the Douchbaggery and bashing in some of the articles on the wiki are pretty damn stupid as well.

Although to be fair, the wiki reflects Zetta's viewpoint more than the OBD community's.

Ahh.

Does our wiki have an entry for it yet? It would be nice to make one.

I've been a member of NF and a frequetn poster in the OBD since 2006.

The OBD, in and of itself, is not a bad place. It just happens to be frequented by some of the most arrogant posters on the forum. Other than these certain old members, people there tend to be pretty nice.

Of course I'm not objective. I'm The Anti-Existence and you nee donly loo at my entry tos ee the old members don't like me and I obviously don't like them.

But, as I said, apart from these five or so old members and the couple of newer posters that they managed to indoctrinate (one of them having been pleased to hear that I was hit by a car), the posters aren't so bad.

[up][up]It was perhaps unwise of you to mention that page; in addition to mindless bashing, it contains screenshot evidence that makes you look very bad indeed.

It shows I like shotacon which is a fact I don't hide. I don't see anything wrong with liking non-existent things. If you do, I'm sorry.

Other than that, they include my joke about Pico right? Ya know I used that exact same post with that exact same picture on another forum and everyone could tell I wasn't serious.

I'm not a good person and I know it. I don't need the OBD to remind me to hate myself for a lot of the things I think and do. But regardless of my own personal flaws, I think the way they treat actual living people is a bit more offensive than how I feel about fictional characters.

The Outskirts Battledome? My, isn't that a nostalgic word for me. I remember reading that shit all the time, back in 2004, before finally joining NF in the middle of 2005. It was kind of fun reading it and eventually doing occasional replies, but goddamn did that place have a lot of opinion myopia, in-jokes, trends (oh god, was I tired of Mc Guyver and Chuck Norris joke threads at some point) and eventually some ridiculously extreme serious business. Because god help you if you didn't live up to the stringent debate techniques of determining who would win in a fight between fictional characters with vaguely defined powers. Well, to be fair a lot of really stupid people had a lot of really stupid opinions in a lot of really stupid threads, but I think it kind of went overboard at some later point with trying to make this kind of bar debate into a scientific endeavor.

I kind of grew out of that around 2007 or something like that though, not to imply that it's childish, just that for me personally it wasn't something that held my attention anymore.

Yeah, I use to frequently lurk, and occasionally post, on the Outskirts Battledome forums.

^And THAT'S pretty much why I stopped going to those forums.

Not to mention the usage of Naruto as a Method of Test is a bit rediculous, same with it's Anti Naruto and anti Shonen series feel altoghter.

The kicker? It originated from NARUTO forums.com

[up][up][up]Being on a site dedicated to a series also tends to bring out people that don't like it.

Or, mainly people who really hate the direction it's gone in.

Also, sup TAE. Still watching your Boku no Pico?

On topic, make a page if you want, don't if you don't.

My name is a giveaway of who I am from the OBD.

Also, we've chased out all the people who made crappy Mc Guyer and Norris jokes.

Those were never funny.

"Although to be fair, the wiki reflects Zetta's viewpoint more than the OBD community's."

Zetta hasn't actively been super involved with the wiki for years. He just keeps it running.

[up]Like that really exists... Anyways, it could be interesting to see all the tropes associated with OBD. Although it sure would invoke a number of shitstorms.

It would be a good way to accurately assess the quantities of jelly here.

Doesn't that refer to people who don't like the Star Wars EU?
